Account blocking

Yandex cares about security of users and makes sure that the services meet the legal requirements and Yandex rules. If the advertiser's actions put Yandex, users, or partners at risk, the advertiser's account in Yandex Direct may be blocked.

Here are the main reasons for blocking:

  • Imitating a well-known domain to mislead users.
  • Phishing, which is a type of internet fraud to obtain secret user data (passwords from accounts, bank card number or PIN code, and so on).
  • Cloaking, which is a type of internet fraud where a site outputs different information to users and search robots.
  • After moderation, the content is replaced with materials inconsistent with the law or Yandex requirements. This is performed using redirects, for example.
  • Creating numerous similar ads to promote prohibited content.
  • Submitting fake documents and misleading information about the product, service, or store.
  • Distributing malware or code on the advertised resource.
  • SMS fraud on the site, that is, methods that allow you to withdraw money from the mobile account of a site user without their knowledge. For example, when registering on a site using a mobile phone or sending an SMS.
  • Attempting to bypass the system again after blocking by creating new accounts.
  • The advertising materials belong to the advertiser that was identified as fraudulent.
  • Violation of rules for pay-per-conversion campaigns with the Maximum conversions strategy. For example, when the Pay per installation option is selected to advertise a mobile app, but the transmission of data about app installs is disabled in the MMP.
  • Creating a large number of identical ads with the same text, website, and keywords is considered a spam attempt, even if you create them in different campaigns.
