Optimization of ad texts for search queries

Yandex Direct can change the ad title and text to make it more relevant to the query and generate more conversions.

You can enable this option in Campaign Wizard for website advertising campaigns, product campaigns, and unified performance campaigns.

How it works

The system selects popular search queries for which the ad may be served and generates an alternative title-text pair for them. The suggested options are:

  • Based on your ad text and landing page.
  • In line with the original meaning and don't distort facts or add new information.

The modified text can be shown instead of the original one if it's more likely to generate ad clicks and conversions.

How to configure

When creating or editing a campaign, enable the Optimize ad text for the query option under Yandex Direct helps at the bottom of the page and agree to text optimization for the entire campaign.

Text optimization will only work for Text & Image ads served in search results. Once you specify a link, title, and text for each ad, the Additional options section appears. There you can preview examples of rephrasing popular queries that could trigger your ad. You can also check additional phrasings on the ad page.

The Additional options section will be available under the following conditions:

  • A valid website link is specified
  • A valid title without a template is specified
  • A valid main text without a template is specified
  • The ad language is Russian.

You can enable ad text optimization for multiple unified performance campaigns on the campaign page: select the required campaigns and enable the option Optimize ad text for the query in the bottom menu.

Statistics

You can view statistics for your unified performance campaign in Report Wizard, in the “Text source” cross section. Impressions with additional text are marked as Automatic and those with advertiser text are marked as Original.
