3.13.2. Rules for adding attributes to rapid transit items
A rapid transit system includes metro (subway), light rail, high-speed trams and buses, cable cars and monorails, funiculars, and other off-street passenger transport. Rapid transit items on the map include rapid transit lines and sections of lines, stations, and exits from stations.
One of the types of rapid transit items is the light rail transit system (LRT) , which features high-speed trams and “light rail” (if it is built similar to high-speed trams). Special drawing rules and attributes apply to LRT systems (see below).
3.13.2.1 Attribution rules for rapid transit line sections

When adding or editing attributes of rapid transit line sections, you need to follow the rules that apply specifically to these attributes:
3.13.2.1.1. Part of
The “Part of” attribute indicates which rapid transit line the section belongs to.
If the rapid transit line is already drawn on the map, select its name from the list. To add a new line, fill in the field manually:
After the item is saved, the name of the line is displayed on the panel as a link that opens the line editing panel. Editing techniques for such composite linear items are described in Section 2.6.2. Composite linear items.
3.13.2.1.2. Level A and Level B
Level A and Level B attributes aren't applied to rapid transit lines (they both must have a value of 0).

When adding or editing attributes of rapid transit line stations, you need to follow the rules that apply specifically to these attributes:
3.13.2.2.1 Rapid transit line
The “Rapid transit line” attribute indicates which rapid transit line the station belongs to.
Each station must be linked to a line.
If the rapid transit line is already drawn on the map, you can select its name from the list. If the line wasn't drawn yet, create it first and then select it from the list:
3.13.2.2.2. Name
Names are assigned to rapid transit stations in accordance with the general rules. See 3.1.3. Map item naming rules.. Additionally:
Never include the item type in Official and For caption on map names, regardless of the grammatical structure of the name.
Specify The address contains type name in the format: “type + proper name”.
For example:
Official: Tyoply Stan, Biblioteka Imeni Lenina.
For caption on map: Tyoply Stan, Biblioteka Imeni Lenina.
The address contains: Metro Tyoply Stan, Metro Biblioteka Imeni Lenina.
Unofficial names (like historic names used in the past) may include the item type. For example, Izmailovsky park, and Izmailovsky Park station are both acceptable.

When you add attributes to rapid transport station exits, follow the rules that apply specifically to their attributes:
3.13.2.3.1. Rapid transit station
The “Rapid transit station” attribute indicates which specific rapid transit line station an exit belongs to.
If the rapid transit station is already drawn on the map, select its name from the list. If the station isn't on the map yet, you need to create it first (see 3.13.1.2. Rules for drawing rapid transit stations) and then add the exits.
For each exit from a rapid transit line station, the parent station should be specified.
3.13.2.3.2. Name
The name of the exit from a rapid transit station is indicated only if it has a proper name, number, or other identifier; otherwise , do notcaption them.
Indicate the name, number, or other identifier of the exit as its “Official”name.
The “For caption on map” name type should only be used when an exit has an official name that needs to be shortened. This abbreviated name should be used as the caption.
Some examples of official names:
Numbered exit ─ 1
Exit with a proper name — GMK Bulvarı, Ziya Gökalp Caddesi (some metro exits in Ankara have proper names).
Labeled exit ─ D1.
1) The streets, addresses, and landmarks that an exit leads to (for example, exit to Andropova Avenue, Orbita Cinema, Kolomenskoye Nature Reserve , etc.), are not their proper names.
2) Do not add the following to an exit's name, number, or label:
— The name of the station the exit belongs to.
— The words “entrance” or “exit”.
— Any notes about the exit's current condition (for example, closed, under maintenance).
— Any info about the exit's features (for example, an elevator).
