Subscriptions in Yandex Maps

In Yandex Maps, you can subscribe to reviews from other people: your friends, experts, or anyone else whose opinion is important to you. Their recommendations can help you decide whether you want to visit a new place.

If you're subscribed to a user, you'll see their reviews at the top of the organization card.

Subscribe to a user's reviews

In the organization card
  1. Open the organization card.
  2. Go to Reviews.
  3. Tap Subscribe next to the user's review.
Through a photo in the organization card
  1. Open the organization card.
  2. Go to Photos.
  3. Select a photo in the user's review and tap in the lower-right corner.
On the user's reviews page
  1. Tap the user's profile picture.
  2. Tap Subscribe.

The app may send notifications about new reviews from users that you follow. If somebody follows you, the app will notify you about it. To disable notifications, follow the instructions.

Rate a review

You can rate other users' reviews by tapping:
  • — Likes.
  • — Dislikes.

They form the user's rating. Users with a high rating are more likely to appear in the feed recommendations.

Unsubscribe from a user's reviews

In the organization card
  1. Open the organization card.
  2. Go to Reviews.
  3. Tap You're following next to the user's review.
Through a photo in the organization card
  1. Open the organization card.
  2. Go to Photos.
  3. Select a photo in the user's review and tap in the lower-right corner.
On the user's reviews page
  1. Tap the user's profile picture.
  2. Tap Unsubscribe.

Set up your profile

Users can see the reviews and photos you've uploaded. They can also follow your profile and get notifications about new reviews from you.

To go to your profile, tap  (profile picture) → Reviews and edits.

To share the profile with other users, in the top-left corner tap  and select the service or messenger for sharing the link.

You can manage profile settings:

Change the public address
Your profile has a public address that's displayed in all Yandex services. To view or edit the public address in the profile:
  1. Tap your name or profile picture to bring up the settings window.
  2. Tap the field with the public address and make changes, if necessary.
  3. Tap Done.
Prevent others from finding your profile by phone number
By default, people who have your phone number can use it to find your profile. To restrict this:
  1. In the profile, tap your name or profile picture.
  2. Enable Turn off phone number search.
Hide profile

If your profile is hidden, your reviews will be viewable only in the organization card.

If a user you follow hides their profile, they'll remain in your subscription list. Their reviews will be viewable only in the organization card.

To hide your profile:

  1. Tap  (profile picture) → Reviews and edits →  (profile picture).
  2. Enable Hidden profile.
