Personal data management
When you use Yandex services, your personal data remains in the system — for example, your search or message history in Yandex Messenger. We store this data with utmost care and make sure it's well-protected. Our repositories comply with SOC 2, which is one of the most reliable international standards for managing user data.
You can manage your personal data on the Data management page.
- Open the Data management page and make sure that you are logged in with the right Yandex ID.
- In the list of services, choose Yandex Messenger.
- Under Download data, choose Order archive.
Yandex will notify you by email when the archive is ready for download. If you don't have a Yandex mailbox, check the Data management page to find out the archive status.
Note. The archive will be password-protected. To learn how to get a password and open the archive, see the Yandex ID Help section.
- Open the Data management page and make sure that you are logged in with the right Yandex ID.
- In the list of services, choose Yandex Messenger.
- Under Delete Data, choose the data you want to delete.
- Press Delete selected. If you changed your mind and don't want to delete your data anymore, choose Leave as is.
Once deleted, almost all data immediately becomes unavailable. Yandex will store some types of data for some time, as required by law.
