Updating mail clients
On April 25, 2016 Yandex Mail started implementing more reliable security measures that do not support outdated versions of email clients. Outdated versions are considered unsecure, so it's not possible to use them with your Yandex Mail account.
To make sure that your email client continues to work with Yandex Mail, please update your version. If you only use your Yandex Mail through a browser or mobile app, then you have nothing to worry about.
If you want to find out whether or not you need to update your mail client, please check our lists of secure and outdated versions:
- If your email client is in the list of secure versions, then you don't need to do anything. Your program will continue to work with Yandex Mail.
- If your mail client is in the list of outdated versions, then you need to update it.
