Yandex Navigator is the co-pilot and assistant for 17 million drivers in Russia: plans the best route in light of current traffic conditions and offers tips on how to reach their destinations as fast as possible. Navigator gives voice instructions about when to turn, where there are speed cameras, and how to avoid road works and traffic jams.

Branded pin appear on the map with the brand’s logo and caption on user routes. They help to increase brand recognition, provide valuable information about a store’s locations to potential customers and allow advertisers to tell them about special offers or promotions. With a tap on the pin, users can open the ad fully and adjust their route in order to make a stop at the company being advertised.

How it looks

The advertising message can contain:

  • A logo and text or an image banner.
  • A “Call” button allowing the user to make a call to find out more about the offer.
  • A “Visit the site” button, redirecting the user to a page with detailed information about the product or service.

Package information
  1. A Pin in Maps is a branded mark for an organization that includes a title and subtitle on a map in Yandex Navigator and Yandex Maps. The pin is displayed to the user if the location of the customer’s organization is displayed on the user’s screen when navigating a route or moving without building a route. When the user clicks on the pin, the “Pin Card” appears.
  2. The Pin Card contains a banner, a title, a button with the customer’s location, and one additional optional button with the customer’s phone number or a link to the customer’s website:
    • with the customer’s location/route — when the button is clicked, a route to the organization is built using the coordinates of Yandex Maps service.
    • with the customer’s phone number — when the button is clicked, the user is prompted to make an outgoing call to the phone number specified by the customer, if the user’s device supports this feature.
    • with a link to the customer — when the button is clicked, the link specified by the customer is followed (as agreed with Yandex). The link can open a website/application/messenger/App Store or Play Market.
  3. The CPM is determined by the following formula: CPM = 80*T*R, where

    T is the targeting coefficient applied by the customer, according to Table A or B;

    R is the category coefficient in which the customer places materials, according to Table B.

  4. Geotargeting — Russia. Geotargeting can be set up for another region/other regions (as agreed with Yandex).
  5. The targeting settings specified in Tables A and B can be configured (settings may change by agreement with Yandex).

    5.1. No more than three settings specified in Table A and clause 4 may be applied simultaneously, one of which is Geotargeting. Surcharges are multiplied sequentially.

    5.2. No more than two settings specified in Table B and clause 4 may be applied simultaneously, one of which is Geotargeting, with a multiplying coefficient of 1.25.

  6. The categories specified in Table B can be configured (settings may change by agreement with Yandex):

  7. The default placement setting includes all placements in accordance with Table 6. Setting up optional placement in one or two locations is possible (as agreed with Yandex).
  8. Seasonal coefficients are applied when calculating the cost of services (settings may change by agreement with Yandex).
