Labels

Labels help you arrange and quickly find emails. You can assign any number of labels to each email. By default, your mailbox already contains the following standard labels: Important, Unread, With attachments. You can see the list of labels under the folder list.

  1. Open the label list
  2. Assign or remove a label
  3. Create a new label
  4. Remove a label

Open the label list

In the upper-left corner of the screen, tap .

Assign or remove a label

  1. Open the message.

  2. On the right side of the screen, tap .
  3. Tap Labels.
  4. Select a label.
  5. Click Done.

If you want to label multiple messages at once:

  1. Select the messages. To select a message, tap on the sender's avatar in the message bar.

  2. Tap More → Labels at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select a label.
  4. Click Done.

Create a new label

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, tap .
  2. Under the list of folders, tap Settings.
  3. Choose Folders and labels.
  4. Tap Create → Label.
  5. Enter a name for the label and choose a color.
  6. Click Done.

Remove a label

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, tap .
  2. Under the list of folders, tap Settings.
  3. Choose Folders and labels.
  4. Tap Edit in the upper-right corner.
  5. Tap to the left of the label you want to delete.
  6. Click Done.
Note. Only the label itself is removed. The labeled emails remain in your mailbox.
