The food is not delicious (except for camembert, you have to try to spoil it) and even with a FLY! Before the fly, the service was friendly, but after that our waitress became arrogant and somewhat rudely hysterical. We apologized for the fly with dessert, which of course we didn't eat. What if there's a fly, or some other surprise I don't know who these people are who give this place 5 stars. The price tag is not small, which means that the contingent should be with a request for delicious food and good service.

The only thing I liked about the place was the wine and dessert with chicory ice cream, the rest was mediocre. An author's kitchen that has forgotten that it is an author's kitchen) If you visit a restaurant once a year, perhaps you will be OK, for the rest of us, good advice is to look for a more interesting place so as not to be sad about the money you spent.

We came here based on a high rating. But the kitchen sucks. The grilled vegetables turned out to be completely raw and tough. The fish dish was stuffed with peas, "wasabi", and it's not clear what's in the batter, but it's not very tasty and, again, it's impossible to chew it, because it looks and tastes like a piece of stick. If fish is listed on the menu, serve the fish instead of a plate of pork bananas. Fried potatoes with chanterelles are the same hat - the potatoes were whittled on a shredder and baked in a column. Everything would be fine, but the potatoes turned out to be half-cooked, as well as pickled cucumbers, which were pickled, apparently, only yesterday. Napoleon (a big fat wooden cracker, a spoonful of cream, and a handful of raspberries in a pot) is just banter over the commander and the customers of this pretentious place, undeservedly called a restaurant. They left hungry - it was impossible to eat.

It's a pity to write a negative review, because the restaurant is really beautiful, the service is beyond praise, but the food is just terrible. We took Thai spicy soup, just water with soy sauce and hot pepper. Dumplings with potatoes and chanterelles were fried until crisp for some reason. At least the menu says they're fried, but they don't eat all that stuff. The zucchini fritters tasted like rotten meat, I didn't understand if it was greens or turkey on top.

One of the oldest restaurants in the city. Always excellent service. Since 2025, the menu has become fashionable = 3-5 dishes in each section. It is better to book tables for the evening. The food is great if you find something you like. There are no special comments. It's worse than before when there was the old staff of waiters and the kitchen 2 books of 30 pages each, but there's nothing to complain about now. I bought into the 5.0 average score that this restaurant has here. I really shouldn't have. Clearly an implausible estimate. A table was booked for 19:30 on 06/21/2025. We arrived at exactly 19, we were accepted, seated, it's ok. We placed an order. And!!! Salads were brought to us half an hour after ordering. The so-called Greek salad is 100 grams of a certain fresh substance without a single admixture of any kind of salad (iceberg, leafy, etc.). Cheese product instead of cheese, cucumbers with a tender peel, tasteless tomatoes...In general, I recommend it.. remove from the menu or cook fully. The hot dishes were served an hour and a half after the order. The dishes themselves are acceptable, you can eat. There were no consequences after visiting this institution, and that's a good thing. We concluded that we should not look at these scores, but at the establishments live. Where the summer porches are packed, go there.

Many years ago we were in this restaurant, there was a waiter, I don't know how to say it, a pro, a master, everything is wrong. After his descriptions of the dishes, we wanted to order everything. It was very emotional and delicious. More than 10 years have passed, we returned to Brest and of course went to it. Our waiter was not there :-(. The food is still delicious and enjoyable. You can safely go. The assortment has become smaller, but smaller is better, but better.

I don't recommend it. We went by the reviews, probably paid for. The interior is average. There are no wet wipes in the toilet, but at least they put hand cream. Kitchen for 3, not impressed. Not everything from the menu is available. But what impressed me was the glasses stained with fingers. I made a comment, only 2 of the 4 were removed, the rest will do anyway. I thought after such a disgrace, they would bring a compliment from the restaurant, yeah, right now. Well, the cherry on the cake was the flies that accompanied the whole dinner, landing on the plates, they literally had to be driven away from the face. They would have hung up the Velcro. The waiters were standing 2 meters away from us and pretended that there were no flies. So the service is also a minus. The level of the canteen, no offense to the canteens. Look for more worthy places.

Пожалуй, лучший ресторан Беларуси. Высокий уровень сервиса, адекватное общение администратора и официанта Дениса, одновременная подача блюд, уборка посуды вовремя. Кухня отличная, интересные сочетания вкусов и фактур. Севиче из тунца - это что-то божественное! Также очень понравился острый тайский суп. Были втроем, все остались довольны.

I'm a dubious restaurant critic and I don't really like writing reviews, BUT I left my five stars and a piece of my heart here - 📍 "Jules Verne", Gogol St. 29 I don't believe you can find a more pleasant place in Brest. we went to lunch with a skeptical attitude - we came out completely delighted and confident that we would return here at least once more. After 4 hours we came for dinner, and after another 14 hours we came for breakfast. Honestly, this is the rarest case when the result for the query "the best restaurant in the city" coincided with reality. the dishes (we fell in love with desserts in general), the service, the location - everything is perfect.

I don't understand the high marks of this institution. We went to scout for a business lunch. It turned out to be buckwheat day. I only ate worse cooked buckwheat at school in the hungry 90s.
