Change your signature
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
- Select the account where you want to change the signature.
- Enter the text of your signature in the Signature field.
Change the profile picture
- Open Yandex ID.
- Upload an image from your phone or add a direct link to the image (for example, from a social network).
If you upload a new profile picture over an old one, the old picture is saved in Yandex ID. You can always roll back to it by deleting your latest picture.
Change the theme
By default, the app uses your device's theme. If you change the appearance in the device settings, it's also updated in the app.
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Go to
- Disable Use device theme.
- If you want, you can enable or disable Dark theme.
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
- Select the account you want to enable the theme for.
- Enable Themes.
Set up notifications
You can configure notifications for each folder separately:
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
- Select the account where you want to receive notifications.
- Enable notifications and then configure them for each folder separately.
To select the notification sound:
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
- Select the account you want to change the sound for.
- Go to Sound and select “Yandex.Mail” or “System”.
This might be happening for one of the following reasons:
- Notifications are disabled in the app settings

Enable notifications:
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
- Select the account where you want to receive notifications.
- Enable notifications and then configure them for each folder separately.
- The app isn't running in background mode

You don't receive notifications if background mode is disabled for Yandex.Mail in your phone settings. Go to your phone settings and make sure that this option is enabled. If it's not, enable it.
- The app doesn't launch automatically when you turn on your phone
- You don't receive notifications if autorun is disabled for Yandex.Mail in your phone settings, Go to your phone settings and make sure that autorun is enabled. If it's not, enable it.
- Power-saving mode is enabled

Power-saving mode usually blocks notifications. Go to your phone settings and make sure that power-saving mode is disabled. If it's not, disable it.
It's also possible that the power-saving mode turns on automatically when your battery is low.
- A power-saving or speed booster app is installed

Apps that help extend battery life or speed up your phone might impact notifications. For example, the CM Locker app uses a feature that restricts all notifications on the phone. Make sure that such apps aren't installed on your phone, otherwise delete them.
Set up the translator
You can enable the automatic translation of incoming messages into a selected language:
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Go to
- Enable Translation and select the default language that the translator will offer to translate a message into.
To use the translator, open an appropriate message and, after selecting the target language for translation, tap Translate above the message text.
Set up voice control
To dictate messages and listen to incoming messages, turn on Voice control:
- Pull the screen to the right.
- Go to
- Enable Voice control and select the language to use for voice control.
To listen to an incoming message, open it and tap in the lower-right corner.
To dictate a message, open a compose message window and tap in the lower-right corner.
Set up email forwarding and filters
You can forward emails from another mailbox and use filters for sorting emails only in the Yandex.Mail web interface.
Other mailbox settings
Other mailbox settings can be changed only in the Yandex.Mail web interface.
