Level 14 Local Expert

It is difficult to find a turn off the main road on the way to Tskhinval (there is no sign). An interesting monastery (must-visit if you find yourself in South Ossetia). I have seen many similar monasteries in Armenia in terms of architecture and stone carving. The interior features an unusual stone iconostasis and medieval frescoes preserved under the arches.

How beautiful and peaceful it is here. There are different flowers growing on the territory, although not many, but lilacs are very beautiful ... cows graze around and there are a lot of large daisies ... just glades… From the center of Tskhinvali to the monastery by car - 15 minutes maximum. The road is unpaved, but smooth. We arrived at Kia Rio without any problems.
