It is difficult to find a turn off the main road on the way to Tskhinval (there is no sign). An interesting monastery (must-visit if you find yourself in South Ossetia). I have seen many similar monasteries in Armenia in terms of architecture and stone carving. The interior features an unusual stone iconostasis and medieval frescoes preserved under the arches.

Probably one of the main symbols of South Ossetia.Especially for those who come there for the first time.A point of attraction for tour groups, no doubt)

A fantastic place! The monastery of the 13th century. Cell of the 7th century. It's a very authentic place. A must-visit!
