I advise you to take the funicular and, after examining everything at the top, go down to the pantheon on foot. The gate that will be immediately at the stairs is closed. You need to go around and enter from the main entrance. There is a paid toilet. Candles can be purchased at the store. There are shawls/ skirts for women at the entrance . Then you can also walk down to the city. Water can be collected right behind the church.

A very beautiful, quiet and scenic place! We came to it on foot (uphill), so this option probably won't suit everyone. But on the way we looked at the architecture of the houses and the magnificent views. We didn't know much about this place, we just went to see it. While we were walking along the graves, the abbot of the monastery came up to us (sorry if I'm not spelling correctly) and offered to tell us about these people. We were thrilled! The man ran away, changed his clothes, took off his cassock and walked with us for about 1.5 hours, telling us everything in detail. This is clearly not the grandfather that other reviews are writing about here. This is the temple employee himself. Everything is so interesting and inspiring. The history of Georgia, the history of people, opinions about life, the future, the past. It was a pleasure to listen. He offered to leave a donation, we did it with great joy, because it was all worth it!
