There are a few restaurants just in front of the Tower. But there are too many tourists all the time. Just hordes and crowds. My advice is to have breakfast there in the early morning - the view and atmosphere are really nice then

Horrible service Staf very unfriendly and bad manners. Service is exceptionally bad. We were only Two people on the table, they brought my wifes meal firs and i was waiting for 15 minutes to get my meal after i asked three times. The waiter behaved like that’s is a normal thing to hapen. They were in such of a rush to take our plates, i was still eating and the waiter reached for my plate. It took me three times to tell him to leave my plate alone as i have not finish my food yet. They never apologised for anything They canot say a simple sorry when they make mistakes. And forcefully asking for service charge, which is not compulsory as we already pay for the meal. I always pay the service charge when is a semi decent service but to be forced to pay thats a bit to much. Please do yourself a favour just dont go to this restaurant is not worthy, there is pleanty of other better places, this restaurant is run by crooks. I would have scored zero star but is not posible.

Everything is amazing here! The view of Galata, the serving of dishes (the best part is that even if you are a large company, all the positions will be taken out at once and everything will be hot). The food is delicious and beautiful, the staff is very attentive, polite and helpful, the most pleasant 🫶🏻 the wine is delicious, the mussels are delicious, the barbecue is delicious, pizza, breakfasts and much more- we have tried almost all the menu, we return to this place every year. A great place literally at the Galata Tower. What is especially pleasant is that despite one of the most touristic locations in Istanbul, there are absolutely adequate prices and a very good ratio of price, quality and level of facilities. We arrived already full, so we limited ourselves to drinks, but we carefully looked at the menu and dishes at the neighboring tables - everything looked really decent, the portions were good, the service was beautiful. We even regretted a little that we found the Guney after dinner. Before that, there were a lot of establishments in the Istiklal area, where sometimes it feels like the tourist location automatically doubles the price. There is no such feeling here at all. Separately, I would like to mention the atmosphere, pleasant staff and location almost at the Galata Tower. A place that can be safely recommended and where we will come for dinner on our next visit.

We celebrated a birthday, it was very cozy, everything we ordered was delicious, the service was excellent, the waiting was minimal at full load, we booked a table inside for non-smokers. A sweet gift and tea were brought from the restaurant for the birthday, a trifle, but pleasant. I must say right away, it's not cheap, but the quality is consistent, the birthday is once every 8 days, you can afford it.

Great place! I stayed in Istanbul and came here every day. Fast service, QR-code menu in Russian, there is a Russian—speaking waiter - very convenient. The food is delicious: beef and eggplant in cheese were taken from the main dish. For breakfast — granola, poached eggs with brioche, salmon with toast: huge portions. There is a buffet, but the assortment is small. Coffee and teas are also on the same level. The location at the Galata Tower is full of passers—by, but it didn't bother me. I recommend it!

A Vibe place with a great view. The portions are huge, I had to ask them to pack the salad with me. A couple of waiters are speaking English, and another one is speaking Russian. 2 main courses, salad and 4 cocktails cost $90. Without alcohol, it is quite possible to eat for $40-50 for two. Of the many options where to have breakfast, we chose this cafe based on the reviews. On the plus side, a beautiful location with a view of Galata, not a bad choice of food, quite tasty, the price tag + is the same for this area. On the downside, they cheated with the check, added 2 fresh oranges + 380 lira to the check. Russians Russian-speaking waiter came up to us, and when I called the staff to point out the mistake, he was just sitting us down at a table when we arrived, and he immediately realized that we were Russians and spoke Russian to us. I explained the situation to him, he apologized and left. They didn't accuse anyone, well, they made a mistake, but when I saw that Azamat (a Russian-speaking waiter) approached the Turk serving our table and apparently pointed out the "mistake" in the receipt, he was very upset, very angry, it was obvious that he had not accidentally put the juice in the receipt. The average check per person is 800-1000 lira (drink, hot food, salad/pasta). You can get enough without any problems! I definitely recommend the pizza with salmon (710 lire). Great cuisine, great staff. There are no Russian speakers, the staff speaks Turkish, German, Italian, English. The menu is via QR, the menu has the Russian language! If it's your birthday, then you can inform the staff about it, and they will definitely congratulate you (they give you a chocolate cake with candles + playing the violin)

On my short (3 nights total) visit to Istanbul - the first time I was in this city, on business - I felt like that kitten who was thrown into the river so that he could learn to swim himself. I don't know where to go - I don't understand how this strange and beautiful mystery city lives at all. Now I understand that you can talk about Istanbul for a long time, but the review is not about him. In short, no matter how you feel in this city, you still want to eat. Just where to go? There's a coffee shop, a cafe, a restaurant on every corner, it smells beautiful and delicious. We were lucky. My friend recommended Guney very strongly, and we just successfully stayed in apartments very close to the Galata Tower. The stars, so to speak, converged. And our tastes/ characters/ preferences also converged (it turned out to be a strange proposal, well, as it is). In short, three nights in Istanbul, three breakfasts at Guney, not a single disappointment. Great location, great view of the city, friendly staff, nice design, delicious breakfasts for every taste, delicious tea and perhaps the best Turkish coffee in the city (I can't guarantee that, according to the staff, hehe). I'm a little sorry that I dined in other places, but that's a completely different story... if you're in Constantinople, be sure to visit a wonderful restaurant.

On the downside, it's very expensive. I took an inexpensive salad and spaghetti with champignons, my husband took the same salad and schnitzel. We paid 1,600 lire, which is 6,000 rubles at the current exchange rate! For two courses with salads, it is undoubtedly expensive. One of the advantages: an old cafe (60 years old), huge portions! In fact, if they had known that, they would have made do with one dish. 2 huge schnitzels with salad can be safely eaten for two! Or a salad with a local flatbread, they are also huge here. In general, I recommend going in, but first order something just to have a snack. By the way, they bring it right there. They just hop and bring it, as if the waiters were holding dishes for us behind our backs. :) Although it's evening and there are a lot of people. It is very cool! And delicious. The app is free and without a code, because the menu is based on a QR code, there is no paper one. But you open it immediately in Russian and everything is clear. Everyone is sitting outside, even though it's January (+8), powerful heaters are running on the veranda, and I even had to take off my jacket. I liked the cafe, that's for sure. The only thing that bothers me is the prices. But I would come back for tea with dessert or flatbread.
