The museum is quite expensive, and what's inside it doesn't justify the price. Most pictures are of minor artists that followed some European artistic currents without being noticed. There are very few painting masterpieces, some of the sculptures are somewhat more noteworthy. Probably most of the money are for the building that looks recently renovated. Though I didn't appreciate the entrance to the galleries which resembles going into a cage. Not a great experience.

The museum makes an incredible impression! Aesthetics and color of different genres and styles are literally saturated with emotions💔 It's quite difficult to walk, there are a lot of authors and halls, but in 3 hours you can walk around the entire museum. I started as I like, in detail, stopping at each painting. I was already finishing with acceleration Of course, you get very tired of so many impressions, but you still come out happy! I didn't have time to go to the cafeteria and souvenir shop, but I looked in — it looks very interesting! The museum itself is modern, beautiful, and spacious! All the caretakers are very sweet and romantic young Georgians)) Sometimes they walk with you, sometimes they read books. It's great that there are very different artists in different halls, a whole gallery (in every sense) of Georgian art opens, trends and traditions immediately become clear. I recommend reading the plaques about the authors, because you can learn a lot about their relationship with each other and with famous Russian creators.🖌️

The museum is very large and tedious. I believe that one ticket should be valid for at least two days (two visits). By the end of the second hour, I was already dizzy from the glut of paintings. Some of the halls (paintings by artists) were very heavy, overloaded with colors and details, and were difficult to perceive, even to the point of feeling unwell. Some of the halls were like a breath of fresh air - they caused a feeling of relief. The leitmotif of so many artists is women. But it is extremely rare that this interest is reflected in the lightness and sophistication of a woman. Most of the time, there is something heavy about the paintings. Definitely worth a visit to this place. This is an opportunity to get to know Georgia through creativity. The museum itself is gorgeous. It's covered in glass, which makes it even more grandiose.

An excellent museum in the center of Tbilisi with a rich collection of Georgian and world art. The exposition is well organized, there are many interesting paintings, sculptures and decorative and applied arts. The atmosphere is calm, it is convenient to walk between the halls, you can spend several hours studying the works of different eras. The staff is friendly and ready to help, but sometimes it can be difficult to explain yourself in English — it all depends on the employee on duty. In general, it is a very worthy place to explore the art of Georgia and the world.

A wonderful modern museum of fine arts. Three floors that I personally managed to pass in three times. There are many interesting works, mostly from the Soviet period. But modern ones are also worthy of attention. For the first time, I looked at abstractionism in a different way.

If you want to get acquainted with the modern art of Georgia, go here. There are some very interesting works. The interior was impressed by the glass staircase. The museum itself is quiet, and there aren't many people. You can easily view works for every taste, not just paintings.

A wonderful museum! The most vivid impressions of Georgian artists. Georgia has opened up through creativity and Orthodoxy. The museum itself is organized in a modern and comfortable way.

I really liked it, thank you! The museum is located in a unique building, it is difficult to pass by it. I was practically alone in the gallery itself, and it was on Sunday, although the gallery contains very interesting works by local artists.

A large spacious building with paintings by Georgian artists. Mostly impressionism and primitivism. Very much like an amateur, which I don't belong to. My wife and daughter didn't get it either. But there is something interesting.

The institution itself is okay, it's really invested a lot of money. But the iron door that needs to be twisted to pass through using cards, while the staff helps with a face like you're asking them to hold your own shit in your hands, so this moment was not clear to me. We literally walked alone on three floors and watched contemporary artists. I don't know if the exhibitions are changing there or not, but art lovers, get ready for the fact that there will be a lot of really untalented works. But, a huge but, there are really works by artists who can be called the future of Georgia, although there are only a few of them

I love it! Every visit to Tbilisi is a must-see on the traveling designer's list) the first thing that impresses is the architectural solution - like the facade with the most gorgeous perspective galleries on both sides and the magical variation of the Notre Dame gargoyle- the eagle above the main entrance, the staircase is generally my LOVE) a whole mountain of glass and the hooliganism of engineering. I will keep silent about the four floors of the most diverse works of art, it all needs to be FELT) … And then, enjoy fragrant coffee with delicious treats in the art cafe, in winter- inside- with a view of the parliament, and in summer- from the temple... yes, yes, I've been there 5 times out of 5) and it's worth it.

This is one of the best museums I've ever been to! In my opinion, it can quite compete with many famous museums around the world. A huge collection of incredibly beautiful and interesting works by Georgian artists. The space itself is very stylish, modern and thoughtful, walking through the halls was a real pleasure. And the building itself is simply incredibly beautiful from the outside! My impressions were very vivid and extremely positive. If you love art, be sure to visit this place!!! The only disadvantage is the relatively high cost of tickets for foreigners - 40 lari

There is a good museum in the center opposite the parliament , I didn 't like everything , but there are interesting paintings and installations , though I looked around hastily before the plane . The entrance is 30 GEL (it was only by card) inside there is a shop with various souvenirs and museum goods.

The museum is located on Rustaveli Avenue, opposite the parliament building, partly repeating its architectural motifs, in particular, the high arches of the facade. Inside is a typical high-tech, solid glass: stairs, ceilings, elevators. The exhibition mainly features contemporary Georgian artists, some of them in the whole hall. For the first time I saw the original works of Sergei Parajanov, unfortunately, there are only three of them here. And it was surprising that out of the five floors, the museum's exhibits occupy only the top two, perhaps the rest are reserve areas for future expansion of the collection.

Really, I wanted to see the originals of Pirosmani's paintings! The one from the song "Million, million, million red Roses"!🌹🌹🌹There are 20 original paintings in the museum, the rest of the modern art, unfortunately, was not very impressive...Maybe it 's me and my inner world that are not catching up ...

I liked the gallery itself, the paintings are impressive and I was interested. I agree about the staff, they are not very friendly and interested. There's a terrible door at the entrance: you scan the QR code while the device that you scanned continues to glow red, you need to look at the top of the door to understand that you can go inside. And push harder, because the door won't open easily. There is a separate quest at the exit. You need to go down to the first floor and scan your ticket again to exit.

A wonderful museum, a very extensive exposition representing all facets of fine art of Georgia from the 1960s to the present. Very interesting artists and a huge variety of styles. The exposition is spread over three floors in a very large number of halls, at least 2-3 hours, if you do not look very carefully and selectively.

A good museum with a huge exhibition There are a lot of different artists and styles For a leisurely exploration of each floor, set aside at least 2 hours. If you run through it superficially, it's too big, and you'll end up with a mess in your head. Admission is 30 GEL for foreigners

We were not allowed in with a small backpack containing personal belongings. I think this is discrimination and disrespect of a person. There was neither the opportunity nor the desire to leave personal belongings at the reception. It is clear that this is not a large travel backpack, but a small backpack smaller than the one in which you carry a laptop. We returned the tickets and left. I didn't like this attitude towards potential thieves or what they meant. There is also no wardrobe in the museum. The entrance fee is 30 GEL.

If you love painting and sculpture, you definitely come here. But get ready, it will take a long time. We were with the children, thanks for the benches in each hall))) There are many paintings, many stories of writing them, they got on a school trip, they themselves were dragged out and began to eavesdrop, especially the involvement of young people was surprised: they ask questions, discuss paintings. A bright impression of the museum remained. One thing is unclear: the exhibition is on the upper floors, the rest are empty, the first impression was that they got into a museum that was not working. We didn't get to the Banksy exhibition, it's a pity. I recommend you to visit.

The museum is great, but the staff has "boorish behavior", and it's amazing how such an "anti-combination" incredible cultural place is next to tactless people who exceed their official duties. I went to their museum, and they were like, "we don't like" how you put on a mask... ahaha.. In general, the feeling is that after they got a job as administrators, they imagined themselves to be the rulers of the world who solve all issues and, in order to somehow make their opinion important, they got a job in the civil service. A woman who pretended for a long time that she did not understand Russian suddenly spoke perfect when they needed it. In general, if you remove people from the museum, without Homo sapiens, and come to look only at the results of labor as art, then it's a great place. by the way, it does not work until 18:00, as it says on the website and in Google, but until 17:30.

My daughter and I really liked the museum! We love art galleries! We discovered Natalia Pavliashvili. Just keep in mind that the stairs are made of glass everywhere (you shouldn't go in a skirt), and if you are afraid of heights, then you may not be comfortable (use elevators). We definitely recommend it to lovers of painting and the avant-garde!

An impressive, beautiful, modern museum. The museum features works by 20th-century artists, and was lucky enough to get to the Banksy exhibition in January 2024. Polite and helpful staff, who speak Russian and English. Pleasant atmosphere, large halls and plenty of space. There is also a cafe on the ground floor. An inspiring place to spend the whole day.

Disappointment! Large exhibition space, bright, comfortable. Five floors, many halls. Comfortable modern elevators. Nice cafe on the ground floor. However, the exposure is weak. There's nothing to see. There are a couple of corners with works by artists of the Soviet period - the best thing in this museum. There are interesting sculptures. The rest is not worth paying attention to. The gaze does not want to stop at anything. It doesn't smell like painting, it's the capital! One floor is given over to the Banksy exhibition. Complete trash! The ticket costs 40 lari/person. I do not recommend it. Don't waste time and money.

On August 9, 2017, the main exhibition of the museum has been closed due to the heat for a MONTH, according to the employees. I don't understand how a museum building can be designed so that in the summer season (in a country where the temperature is below 30 in summer it doesn't happen) the air outlet is not working, I really wanted to see the exhibition, it's a shame for such negligence of the administration.

A beautiful modern space. It is well thought out for exposition work. Temporary exhibitions can be interesting, but the permanent exhibition is at the level of street vernissages. A very mediocre collection of the latest Georgian art is exhibited without any concept. It seems that the artists were selected by acquaintance or their hierarchy in the local Union of Artists.

I really enjoyed my time there.👍🏻 By the way, the whole staircase is made of transparent glass, so emotions start from the entrance.
