My trip to Istanbul turned out to be magical and I was very glad that I chose the Garden House - I never regretted it. An incredibly cozy, old Ottoman-style hotel with a restaurant in the garden (quite expensive, but the food is great), new plumbing, perfect mattresses, very delicate cleaning every day - no one touches or rearranges your things, which is important to me. Timely replacement of textiles, towels are always fresh. The wonderful breakfast buffet - an insanely delicious, hearty omelet, delicious local arugula, vegetables, homemade yogurt and orange jam were my favorites. But the main gold of this hotel is its staff, especially the manager Alvin. To begin with, the economy room I booked was immediately changed to some kind of huge royal room on the top floor without any request from me - simply because I was staying with them for the first time. Absolutely any issues were resolved as soon as possible. My friend forgot her phone in Uber on the penultimate day of our trip. The hotel staff did everything to help us get it back (which can't be said about the support of Uber itself haha) - and we did it! Among other things, my friend was allowed to stay overnight in my room on the last day without any extra charge, including breakfast. I will definitely come to Istanbul again and without any doubt I will stay here again.

We flew home with a transfer in Istanbul, for the first time! The hotel is very hospitable, they gave us a room with a Hammam! 115! We haven't seen anything like this yet! We stayed at the hotel from May 12 to May 18 in 142 rooms (a large room with a stunning balcony). This is not the first time in Istanbul, so we can say that this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! Amazing location - most of the main attractions are within 5-10 minutes walk - Sofia, Blue Mosque, bazaar and others! Let's talk about the staff separately: very friendly and helpful people! There are also Russian speakers, which makes it much easier for those who do not know the language. But even if you don't know, it's okay - the guys calmly turn on the translator and all problems with misunderstanding are eliminated! Special thanks to the administrator Alvin for his help in organizing an early trip and for his kindness - he is happy to answer all questions, talk about Istanbul, and generally a very responsive person! They forgot their electric toothbrush in the room when checking out - Alvin contacted us and was able to give the forgotten item to his friends! Thank you very much! Now we know where to stay on our next trips!!!

Nice hotel, we live here. Breakfast is included, according to the standard continental composition. The restaurant is very tasty, the service is courteous and warm. There is a Russian-speaking staff. We returned on December 1. The hotel was chosen by the poke method))) But this place has fallen in love with itself. I want to mention the awesome bed, we slept like babies. The rooms are old, everything is falling apart, sockets are falling out of the walls. The blanket is the size of a towel, you can only cover the cat. Breakfast is meager. There is no elevator. The doors are made of thin plywood, you can hear everything from the hallway. The curtains are thin, and at 4 a.m. there is already a bright light in the windows. Very friendly staff, clean, cozy. I liked that the room is decorated in Turkish style. It's not a classic faceless standard that's the same everywhere, that's exactly what we wanted. Very good location of the hotel. Sultanahmet Square and the main mosques are a 6-minute walk away. A little uphill. It's about the same distance to the Bosphorus. The disadvantages didn't spoil the impression at all, but they could have been fixed. The old neighborhood- smells periodically of sewage from the drain in the shower. It was solved after 5 minutes by airing. We had breakfast on the day of departure at 6.30. There were 4 of us, the hotel went to a meeting and was allowed to have breakfast without hot food earlier. (breakfast was usually served from 8 o'clock). There was only everything for sandwiches. At the same time, we were not given bread. When asked to give me bread, the kitchen worker said: breakfast is from 8, this is your problem.... And this is despite the fact that breakfast was held in an active restaurant. Can you imagine there wasn't even a piece of bread left from the evening? There was no such thing. And the fact that knowing about an early breakfast you could go to the store to buy bread is out of the question at all. We ate boiled cold eggs with cheese and tomatoes. But still not hungry.

The room is normal, cleaning is done every day, you leave a hellish mess, everything is laid out and clean - At least take the cleaner with you). The balcony is large, 2nd floor. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The location is great if you come only for a tourist purpose, the hotel is located 5 minutes from the main attractions of Istanbul - the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque. The hotel itself is extremely cozy and nice, friendly staff, we were really checked in on the 1st floor on the first night, the room was small and there was no heating (we arrived in early March), but the courtesy and responsiveness of the staff is beyond praise. They quickly brought us a heater and bathrobes, promising to move us the next day, since the hotel was full. The next day, we were actually moved to a huge room with our own hammam. The main thing for us is to be warm and clean, as we only came to sleep. The bed linen is clean, the room has good plumbing and there is always water. We didn't hear any other guests, except for the sounds of the mosque, but it added to the entourage! Breakfast items. For 3 stars, the breakfasts are excellent, everything is fresh, various variations of eggs (omelet, boiled, fried eggs), lots of vegetables, fruits, cheese, sausage. In general, I managed to have a hearty breakfast in the morning with a vengeance!

The stay at the hotel was overshadowed by the manager Alvin's attitude. The room was booked on the Booking website, paid with a card upon check-in at the hotel, we vacated the room one day earlier and asked Alvin to refund the money for the stay for one day, to which he replied that since the booking was through Booking, he could not make a refund. I called the Booking office, the employee told me that there were no objections from the site, the hotel could make a refund. There was a call to the hotel and a request for a refund to the hotel's email. Manager Alvin did not answer Booking's call, and when I approached him and asked him to check his email and send a response to Booking's request, he replied that there was nothing in the mail and no one had called from the site. The repeated appeal of the Booking staff was also ignored by him. During the eviction, Alvin said that a refund of 80 euros was not such a significant amount to demand, especially since he had upgraded the room to us when we complained about a faulty air conditioner, and my daughter was congratulated with a birthday cake. In other words, these actions were not compliments from the hotel, but actually paid for by me. The waiters at the hotel restaurant openly ask you to leave good reviews on the website, always specifying the waiter's name. After staying at this hotel, I am no longer surprised by the large number of good reviews.

We had a great dinner at the restaurant. There are many Europeans among the guests, full boarding in the evening, although it is located in a quiet area. The cuisine is very tasty, and airy lavash and olives are served as a complement at the beginning of the meal, followed by tea with baklava. Everything is very clean, delicious, generous. The prices in the restaurant are above average, but we ate there often, it was so convenient for us. The number of rooms at the hotel is of course very outdated. Guests with complaints are definitely not here. But for me, this "antiquity", on the contrary, gives atmosphere and originality in combination with the old city. Everything you need is in the room. The linen is clean, the bed is comfortable. The hotel has an attentive staff. All my requests were fulfilled. A transfer from the airport and back was ordered through the hotel (60 units). One of the things that I didn't really like was the behavior of the hotel manager Alvin. Too brave a friend, I would say arrogant, speaks Russian. At first he was nice, diplomatic, joking, then strange suggestions on the topic of joint walks went ((( And realizing that there was no reciprocity.. resentments began . Not professionally. And considering that I am a married woman and rested with an adult daughter at least not decently ((((I do not remove the star for the behavior of the manager) I hope he does not often allow himself such behavior🤣
