For a long time we doubted whether it was worth traveling so far by bus with two children (9 and 16 years old), but now we know for sure — it was one of our best vacations! I want to share my impressions to allay the fears of other parents. 1. Yes, it's a long drive, but the organizers have thought through everything to the smallest detail. The bus turned out to be a real "house on wheels": comfortable armchairs with headrests, a working air conditioner and several USB charging outlets. There were even blankets to cover up at night on the road. Every 3-4 hours we made stops at roadside cafes or scenic spots. Everyone went out to warm up and get some fresh air, and the road was perceived not as a test, but as part of an adventure. We stayed overnight at a transit hotel (Nevinnomysk). We passed the border quickly, without hassle (both there and back)!!! 2. Drivers Jean and Vladimir are real professionals in their field!!! We drove the bus so smoothly that we didn't even notice the dangerous mountain serpentines. They turned on the air conditioner on time, slowed down on bumps. 3. Accompanying Anna❤️ is the best!!! On the way, she told us interesting legends, stories about the Caucasus or Georgia, and the road did not seem so tiring. She told me what to taste and where to visit. I solved all the issues that arose quickly and clearly!!! 4. The bottom line We returned happy and tanned. During the trip, we became friends with both the team and the vacationers. It was sad to break up. If you are afraid that a bus with children is hell, believe me: with the right organization, this is the most affordable and emotional way to see Georgia. The preparation and communication with the manager are excellent, online communication (booked from another city), always promptly answered all questions, prompted on hotels, preparing for the trip. A tourist-class bus, but for some reason without a toilet, which was somewhat surprising given the distance of 3,000 km. Stops to go to the toilet every 3-4 hours, which is generally tolerable, but the amount of liquid consumed had to be controlled. Most stops on the territory of the Russian Federation are near paid toilets, in Georgia, in principle, all toilets are paid. On the way to Georgia, the air conditioner failed after 150 km of travel. As a result, it broke down several times during the trip and, in some places, it was extremely uncomfortable to drive. The drivers repaired it several times, and the air conditioner turned on and off. But on the whole, thanks to the drivers, we got there comfortably. 10 days later, the same bus was picked up, at the beginning of the M4 Don highway, the air conditioner finally died in traffic and, despite all the efforts of Jean and Vladimir, it was not possible to start it. It was very difficult to stand in traffic without air conditioning with the windows closed under the southern sun, especially for children. The open hatches did not save. I was very disappointed with the organization of excursions. The excursions included in the trip were one of the reasons for booking the bus tour. As a result, something went wrong. Batumi city tour: there were a lot of people for 1 guide (judging by the number of 2 buses). The guide was nervous, cut herself off in mid-sentence (motivated by the fact that the group was large and no one was listening to her). The guide was really hard to hear, despite the fact that she had a microphone. People from the group were constantly getting lost, they couldn't keep up with the guide. Not everyone got on the ship either, people were simply forgotten. As a result, 2 hours of running around Batumi with brief information, if you are lucky enough to hear. Departure from the hotel was announced at 09.00, but there were changes in the schedule and they were taken away at 13.00. The excursion to Mtskheta, Jvari Monastery was replaced by a visit to the Chronicle of Georgia monument. It seems like with the consent of tourists by voting. The monument is incomparable, but there was no tour as such. 10 minutes of short stories about the creation of the monument, the story of how Tbilisi is being built. Everything else is free time. About 40 minutes-an hour for everything. After gathering, the bus announced that it was already dark, it was an hour's drive to the sightseeing tour point, 2 hours there, then an hour back. But it's 10 minutes to the hotel, where we want to go. Through simple leading questions, almost the entire bus wanted to go to the hotel. There was no tour. The result is a wasted day. There were no announced excursions, an extra night in Tbilisi. We stayed at the Majestic Hotel in Kobuleti. The hotel is quite well-advertised, new, and very popular. There is a swimming pool with children's and adult sections on site. There is a restaurant. The hotel consists of 2 buildings. We had a room in the new building. We arrived at 05.00, checked in at 13.00, lay on deck chairs, rested. The room is small, has a balcony, air conditioning, wardrobe. Shower and toilet combined. Sitting on the toilet, you reach the shower faucet with one hand and the sink faucet with the other. When taking a shower, you need to choose what you're going to fill – the toilet bowl or the sink and the door. There is a hair dryer, but it only lies in the closet along with the wall mount. There are no outlets in the shower. The closet was kept on its word of honor. When the door was closed (compartment type), the side wall shifted, and the lower shelves with clothes fell. The balcony overlooks the restaurant's canopy and the amusement park, which is located across the street. As a result, you won't rest during the day because of the restaurant music, and at night for up to 2-3 hours because of the park. The balcony door is sealed, with gaps around the perimeter, so absolutely everything is audible. There was no luck with the refrigerator either, it was constantly leaking. There is a place on site where you can cook, wash, iron, and use the microwave, but all in a separate building on the 7th floor. The room was booked for 3 people. There is one plate, 2 chairs, 3 glasses in the room. Breakfast options include delicious porridge (semolina, oatmeal, rice), pasta or buckwheat, sausages (boiled today, fried tomorrow), cucumbers, tomatoes, bread, butter, jam, cheese, boiled eggs. There were fried eggs once. The drinks included water, tea, coffee, and milk (which tasted like tinted water). What surprised, upset and angered at the same time: one day there was pasta for lunch. The same pasta was served for breakfast on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day, the same pasta for breakfast with finely chopped cucumber and pepper added. On the 4th day, the same pasta with the addition of pasta of a different type and shape. On all days, the pasta is icy, and on day 4 it has a pronounced sour smell. One of the breakfasts was stale bread fried in butter. It was a salty-bitter sponge with sunflower oil flowing from it. Administrator Olga was seen 3 times: check-in, eviction. And once, on the 4th day of our stay, in the evening, Olga persistently tried to get to us. She said that it was urgently necessary to replace the clothes dryer, because someone had messed up something. She took a beautiful new dryer from the balcony, and gave us a broken, rusty thing. When we asked her to give us a contact for communication, she refused, saying that she would find us herself. I still didn't understand why she was there. Bottom line: is it worth going to Georgia? Definitely yes. Bus travel gives you new emotions, you get a unique opportunity to travel along mountain roads, see Russia and Georgia on the way. It's very exciting and interesting. I can mention Ulyana's work, she helped with the selection of the tour and patiently answered all questions. 😊 Belavia transferred us from one flight to another (almost 15 hours earlier) a couple of days before departure, we arrived one day earlier in Georgia, the heat added one free day of hotel accommodation. Ksenia met us in Georgia, she accompanied us from the airport to the hotel, organized excursions and recommended where to go, what to try and shared her tips. She did a great job. 💜 We had a rest in Kobuleti, Majestic Hotel. The hotel itself is not bad, renovated, has a swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast included, excellent location relative to transport, you can rent a bike or a board. There are also shortcomings (the rooms are quite narrow, some toilets have very little space and there is not even a shower curtain, one of the rooms is dripping from the ceiling, not all toilets have shelves / hooks for towels), but you can close your eyes to more. I can only recommend those who have a light sleep not to choose a new one the building, and take a room in a seven-story building. The new building has an unsuccessful balcony door, it opens in both directions, it is very heavy and there is no tight fit with the window, a large gap. Since there's a restaurant on the ground floor and an amusement park across the street, you won't be able to fall asleep until two in the morning (and sometimes the music continues later). Fortunately, Olga, the receptionist, helped solve the problem and moved us to a quieter room. The hotel was lucky to have her, she is responsive, friendly and will always help. There are a lot of impressions about Georgia, a beautiful country with rich cuisine, magical nature and a unique atmosphere. We would like to leave a review about the Rixos Park Belek Hotel. The rest turned out to be just wonderful! A great hotel for the whole family. The hotel grounds are large and green. The rooms are clean, and cleaning is done every day. The staff is very polite. If you need something, you can make a request through the Rixos app - everything is solved in a matter of minutes (this is how we fixed the blockage in the sink at 11 p.m.). The food is delicious and varied. There is a separate room with food for children, where there is everything they love. I really liked the Rixy kids club. Lots of entertainment for children (there is a whole schedule for every day): there was also drawing, slime, bracelets, and handicrafts. A trainer came and boxed with the children. The club has a PlayStation, every evening there is a disco and various shows with balloons, clowns, magic tricks, etc. Live music was played every evening in the bar by the sea. Drinks for every taste. In early November, the daytime weather was up to +25, and on some days it was higher. In the evening - around +18. There is a heated swimming pool. We even swam in the sea - the water was at a comfortable temperature. The hotel has a spa area, which includes a swimming pool and three types of baths. The main advantage of Rixos is the free entrance to Land of Legends. In November, there were 2 transfers: the first in the morning (return at 17:00), the second for the evening show at 19:00 (return at 23:00). We really liked the park. There is a sea of entertainment for children: various themed areas, attractions, dolphinarium, circus performance. Adults will also be interested - there are, for example, roller coasters. There is also a water park area with many slides for children and adults. You can take a towel on the spot if you are from Rixos. The only food is at your own expense. We went several times, because one day is definitely not enough. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
