We went with my wife to the Kuprin Pit on May 24. I also really liked the production (quite modern, bold, but with respect to the original) The cast was pleased - everyone who was cast in important roles (Zhenya - Hripsime Nagapetyan, Anna Markovna - Elena Vardanyan, Tamara, Foma Fomich, etc.) really did their job with dedication. I was especially touched by Hripsime's (Zhenya's) performance The theater sets the bar high, and I want to visit it again.

I have never enjoyed such performances in any theater I have visited in my 50 years. Many thanks to the actors, the director and everyone involved in this institution, finally I saw a real game like life! At first, I was skeptical - cheap tickets, the old interior, the small fullness of the hall, nothing foreshadowed the incredibly brilliant performance of the actresses (the play "Gordenia", there are only 4 actresses on stage). She sat with her mouth open, laughing and crying, and left filled with emotions so much that she couldn't speak for a long time. Paradoxically, the best Russian Drama Theater is located not in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but in Yerevan, see for yourself. I recommend a mandatory visit.

We went to the play "Mad Ballerina" on the small stage. Unfortunately, only this Russian-language performance was included in our free evening in Yerevan. Seating is free, everything is homey - it is clear that visitors are expected and loved there. I didn't really like the performance itself: it was a bit illogical and lasted only 27 minutes.

We attended the play "Varenka" in the Small Hall of the theater in October 2025. About the room: the room is very small, seats 40, but quite cozy. The scene can be seen from everywhere, as each next row is slightly higher than the previous one. The chairs are not quite new anymore, and they are motley... the audience is sitting pretty close to each other. About the performance itself: "Varenka" is a one-man show, played by one actress. The actress plays, in my humble opinion, quite soulfully, you believe her. And even a checkmate that sounds once at the climax, in this case, will not wipe the staging, is quite appropriate. The disadvantage of the production, I would call some incompleteness... It's like it's not a performance, but just a kind of sketch. The whole production lasted no more than 40 minutes... The audience, in my opinion, did not even realize that the performance was over. The actress had to say, "that's all." ... In general, the impression was still more positive than negative. I would also like to see full-fledged performances of this theater on the main stage....

I really liked the production on the small stage. "Attitude." It was a wonderful performance, I liked absolutely everything. The actors' performance was very vibrant and emotional, without words, they showed scenes from different facets of our reality. The text was traced in a silent whisper in the upper corner of the scenery . I would like to purchase, at the end or before the performance, all those texts that participated in the performance, lines that make you think and fit so harmoniously into the essence of the scenes. People crowded at the entrance from half past 7, the door was opened at 15. As a result, the performance began at 7:30 p.m. The majority of the audience began to pull up after 19, apparently the regulars are aware of this custom of starting the performance later than the stated time.

It is very difficult for me to give an adequate assessment of this theater, because my impression is divided into two parts: artistic and, more precisely, economic, or something. The theater, of course, is poor, the carpet in the auditorium looks about a hundred years old, there are chairs of the same age, there is no buffet, only a cloakroom attendant. Many people are sitting in the hall in their outerwear (in winter). We watched Eugene Onegin. The scenery is minimal, like in a student theater. A table on wheels and a rag hanging in the middle of the stage. But! The actors are great! Everything is in its place, every actor "sparkles", even in small roles. Their talent and love of the profession made me forget about all these material things. Thank you for your service to art!

Staged, staged, performed by Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Robert Hakobyan. The performance is built in the form of a monologue, the actor's speech is addressed to the audience and to himself. Set design and costume: Artur Harutyunyan. Without intermission, a break between the actions (acts) of the performance. Without decorations and any kind of artistic decoration of the place of action, creating a visual image of the performance.. The impression of what he saw is depressing. A real drama. I came out confused, even upset: the fate of the hero of the work is so tragic. And also the understanding that the Republic of Armenia does not invest in the theater. It feels like the work on the play is based on the naked enthusiasm of Robert Hakobyan and Artur Harutyunyan.

On November 22, at the Moscow Drama Theater, People attended the play "False Note" based on the play by the French playwright Didier Caron. The performance was presented by the artists of the Yerevan State Russian Drama Theater named after K. Stanislavsky. I would like to share my impressions. The performance was watched in one go, the plot attracts from the very beginning, you listen to every word. The whole performance is in high tension, waiting for the denouement. The intrigue of the plot holds until the very end. I would like to mention the excellent performance of the actors Robert Hakobyan and Armen Arnautov. Thanks to them for their talent, for the game, for the emotions they experienced! The impressions of the performance were excellent! We thank everyone involved in this production!
