If you want to exhale from the hustle and bustle of Prague and clear your head a little, go to Visegrad. The place is really calm and powerful at the same time, a strange combination, but a fact. You climb up the old fortress walls, and you immediately feel that everything was built here in good faith, not for show. The stone is strong, the gate is impressive, no hack work, everything is as I like it - thoroughly and honestly. I reached the Rotunda of St. Martin - it is generally one of the oldest buildings in Prague, it is more than a thousand years old. You stand next to it and realize: this thing has seen more than you and I have in our entire lives combined. It's simple, round, without pretentiousness, but there's something about it that gives you goosebumps. Nearby is the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul with two tall towers - beautiful, solemn, the photos are gorgeous without any filters. And there's also a cemetery where famous Czech cultural figures are buried - you walk between the tombstones quietly, with respect, the atmosphere sets you up for a serious mood. But the main thrill of this place is the views of the Vltava River from above. You stand at the edge of the wall, look at the river and the city, and that's it, all the stress of the day just blows away. There is a lot of greenery, the paths are well-groomed, and the silence is such that only birds and one's own thoughts can be heard. On the downside, you'll have to go downhill decently, your legs are buzzing all day. Be healthy, I'm telling you this as a person who likes to keep fit. But it's worth it one hundred percent. The place is honest, calm and really beautiful. I recommend it boldly.

An incredibly beautiful place in Prague. Slightly away from the center. A unique and special atmosphere. We really liked it.
