Going to the very top is actually very exhilarating and fun. Beautiful scenery, and an amazing restaurant on the 2nd to last peak before you reach the top. Good time, free parking, all around exciting getaway for a day or two.

A tiny and lovely spa town which is located not far from Yerevan (~50mins driving). Most crowded in the winter time as people come here for ice skiing. Highly recommended!

Wonderful winter vacation! Well-prepared trails, friendly staff both at the Alva hotel and on the slopes. There is practically no queue at the lifts. The cafe offers excellent Armenian cuisine at quite affordable prices. The hotel staff is ready to fulfill any request of the guests. Excellent swimming pool with Jacuzzi + sauna, this is exactly what you need after skiing. We will recommend it to our friends, and we will be happy to come again!

I really liked the trails, there is an opportunity to take full equipment. The lifts are working, there is a children's section, they ride cheesecakes there and there is also a lift there)) It takes 30 minutes to climb to the highest point...40 but the view is gorgeous! If you don't know how to skate, it's better to hire an instructor, whichever way you like.

1. January 2026 there is not just a lot of snow, but an abnormally incredible amount. When we went for a ride in puffy and buckled out of the boards, we fell into the snow up to our chests (height 172). 2. The tracks are wide and diverse, there is no division into blue, red, black, each track has both gentle sections and steep slopes. BUT the highways are not numbered, and occasionally there are blue and red sticks along the roadsides. 3. The lifts are open, but they are perfectly warmed by the sun, the wind is only on the last lift to the very top, wear hoods. 4. Food, cafes on every rise, we were in amrots, but we don't recommend it, we didn't like the service and put extra dishes on the receipt, but we didn't translate from Armenian right on the spot, we weren't looking for a trick. 5. Rental, there are three rentals at the foot of the ski resort, everything is fine, you can ride and put the same equipment aside for the next day, do not take it with you. 6. Roads. Before traveling to Armenia, we thought for a long time about which car to rent: a jeep with all-wheel drive or a regular front-wheel drive sedan. In the end, we took a front-wheel drive sedan, there was an abnormal amount of snow, but the roads were perfectly cleared, not only to the ski resort, but also everywhere, to the observation deck, in all villages and surroundings 7. Comparison with Russian resorts, yes there are fewer trails, yes there are fewer beautiful Christmas trees at the very top, but there are no people at all compared to Rosa Khutor, geshem, etc. Beautiful view from the top of the Ararat and Sevan mountains, even if you come not to the opening but to the 12th day of the route, well-spent and untouched, prices for equipment and suipasses are 2 and even 3 times cheaper!!! 8. There is no evening skiing. 9. Skipasses can be purchased using the MIR map. Bottom line, we definitely recommend it! Everything is fine! We really enjoyed it, we want to come back again. Unfortunately, even with plane tickets to Yerevan, it's still cheaper than a flight to Sochi and a wheelchair in Polyana or a flight and a wheelchair in Sheregesh. (we also visited the new Mailer ski area, we also recommend taking a look, but this one is better)

I read all the reviews before coming here. I was worried that there would be no snow, that we would not like something, after all, it's a long way. But I was absolutely delighted. The trails are a dream: wide, the snow is loose, there are few people, it's very picturesque around. The only drawback is the slightly outdated infrastructure, I would like to have a funicular in the third stage, as it is very cold and slow to climb on cable cars. There is no snow on the trails in some places, and there are a couple of sections throughout the resort. But it's worth considering that there are no guns here and all the snow is natural. In general, I was delighted, I will definitely come back here again. I wish the resort a lot of snow and prosperity. I would also like to mention the kindness and cordiality of the people. But it's probably not just here, but all over Armenia. Karen's instructor taught my friend from scratch to ride without fear on her own from the red track.

The views are great, but again not every day because of the clouds. Ararat showed up once for 15 minutes in 5 days. The people are hospitable. The weather is normal. It's warmer down there. We lived in the Soviet writer's house. I liked everything. Especially the conference room. The wonders of technical thought on stage and closing windows. The food is satisfying in the Soviet way and delicious. Transfer to the mountain. The driver is a great guy. He organized a trip to a warm spring for us. You can go to the lake or visit the churches. The village is quiet in the evening. Milking lovers has a casino. I won't go a second time.

The 2nd and 3rd lines of lifts were without hoods, which sometimes caused discomfort when the wind rose. Terribly slow cable cars. The climb from the bottom to the top point took 40 minutes. I spotted it on purpose. 5. The wind. The cable cars are double-seat and without safety lights. In 40 minutes of climbing, you turn into a piece of ice. P.S. If you write that there are good tracks this year, don't believe it. The locals told us that it had just snowed. We rented a room in a cottage in winter. The room was cold and uncomfortable. In summer, this may be a good option, but in the cold and snowy winter, there is little pleasure in going to your room in the cold after the pool and sauna. The food in the restaurant is very mediocre, the service is just so-so. The waiters at the restaurant prepare cocktails on their own, and it goes without saying that not all of them have a talent for this. The children's area in the hotel is in poor condition. But there is a separate room where a child can study for a fee for a while. From the positive: 1. A complaint about a noisy heater and a non-working lamp was quickly responded to. They tried to repair the heater, but as it made noise, it remained that way. 2. There was a gorgeous Christmas tree in the lobby 3. The lobby bar has prepared very tasty cocktails.
