Surprisingly, we came here on the recommendation of a waiter from the Jules Verne restaurant, there were no national dishes there, but we wanted to try them, since it was our first time in Brest in Belarus. We were sitting on the veranda, near the lake. Waiters in beautiful outfits. The menu is very diverse, there are many national dishes. I liked the fast service and the fast serving of dishes. Everything is very tasty. The language is the most tender. Cherry tincture with honey is great!As an appetizer, I recommend trying an assortment of cold cuts. The portion is impressive. The pieces are cut at home, not transparent. It's definitely worth a walk through the beautiful park.

It's a very cool place. Delicious food and location, the portions are very large, the delivery is fast (with full boarding, there is always a LIVELY queue, but it's worth it). Children are very selective about restaurant food (they don't eat anything but potatoes), and here they ground a salad (by the way, it's very tasty with chicken breast, and potato slices and pieces of chicken fillet, mushrooms and a delicious dressing, chicken breast on the grill with baked potatoes went hot, but the portions are just huge, they only overcame half). And if you are very hungry, then the rib soup will do its job and satisfy your hunger for one or two (rich broth and lots of chunky meat, it resembles a shurpa). A separate story is kvass (3 turns.alk), just a taste of childhood from a YELLOW barrel. We are very satisfied with both the service and the food.

For me, the most favorite restaurant in Brest. Firstly, the magnificent location on the lake and the stunning colorful Belarusian interior. The cuisine is also beyond praise, large portions. We had dinner there almost every evening. The dumplings of the inn are forever in my heart. I would like to note that prices are lower than in establishments in the central part of Brest. It's great to take a samovar with sweets with a large company. The service is fast enough, the waiters are always very polite and helpful, they will suggest a dish for every taste. On our next visit, we will definitely go there for dinner first thing. However, I recommend that you book a table in advance before your visit, as there are always a lot of visitors. And I almost forgot another trick of the restaurant - old Russian romances, which gives the dinner its charm.

We visited this establishment with a group of 4 people on the recommendation of our guide and were very satisfied. The first thing that caught my eye was the location. The inn is located in the park of culture and recreation, on the shore of a small but picturesque lake. The cozy interior in the old national style complemented the impression. But the final delight came when the order arrived. All the ordered dishes turned out to be very tasty, and the cherry on the cake was branded tinctures. The staff adds warmth to this place. It is always done with a smile, attention is paid to every table, despite the full seating. The next time I'm in Brest, I'll definitely visit the Inn and recommend it to you!

We were in Brest in July. Olga, a wonderful guide, brought us to the Tavern by the Lake after a tour of Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The weather was sunny and warm, and at the entrance to the restaurant, we heard pleasant old tunes, like from records of the last century, which immediately endeared us. We quickly found an empty table on the outdoor terrace. But the waiter had to wait a bit, as there were a lot of customers. We ordered a salad with fried eggplant, a signature barbecue, dumplings with cherries, pancakes with pork rinds and pancakes with sour cream. They immediately warned about the hot stuff that they would have to wait 40 minutes. But since we weren't in a hurry anymore, it wasn't critical. The salads arrived pretty quickly, about 10 minutes later. The hot stuff was served on time, as promised. The shish kebab was tender, not overdried. A portion of incomparable draniki in quantity from the bottom of your heart, that you definitely won't leave hungry. My daughter was delighted with dumplings and pancakes with sour cream, and this is our most important indicator if the child eats everything. The dishes ordered at the Inn by the Lake exceeded all our expectations. Everything is very tasty and beautifully served. We will be back in Brest - we will definitely look here.

A friendly receptionist greeted us at the entrance and offered us a table with a view of the lake. The menu consists of Belarusian traditional cuisine. (After we sat down, people actually came and waited in line for the tables to be vacated) There were three of us: my husband and I, and my 7-year-old daughter. My husband and I took borscht, the borscht is delicious, served with two buns (white) and bacon, but there was not enough garlic dressing for the buns. The husband took another hot frying pan, was satisfied, the meat was very soft and there was a lot of it. The child was given turkey cutlets with mashed potatoes. In general, she doesn't really eat like this in cafes / restaurants, but it was already cracking behind her ears, she ate the cutlets without talking or persuading, not everything fit into the mashed potatoes)))) The service is very pleasant, it's a pity that we are only in the city for two nights, we would have stayed longer, we would definitely have booked a table inside and would have come again. The restaurant itself is in the national style, the music is unobtrusive, the atmosphere is pleasant, you can sit and have breakfast with tea, but your conscience does not allow you to see the queue)))

I've been to dozens of establishments in Belarus, and I'll tell you the truth - this is the only place where there is a good level of service (not excellent). Very decent service: polite and friendly staff, who clarifies the quality of the dishes (whether the guest is satisfied, whether they liked everything), can tell you from the menu (although not all waiters, but in general 90% of the questions have been worked out). I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that this is not a restaurant of Belarusian cuisine, they have many directions. I recommend trying the tinctures - they're just great. View of the pond, cleanliness outside and inside. One of the best places in Brest. And yes: they have some of the most delicious shingles. Top 3 in Belarus, as for me.

The place is very atmospheric and beautiful. However, the kitchen, unfortunately, is quite simple and does not stand out in any way. I especially do not recommend a cold brew and a grandmother - the dishes are absolutely tasteless. But the main disadvantage is the incredibly long feed. Of the 2.5 hours we spent in the restaurant, we waited for almost an hour and a half, and the meal itself took only 40 minutes. There was a 30-minute pause between the first and second courses. The atmosphere does not compensate for such service. For such prices, you want something more: you can just eat in other places much cheaper.

The boarding was full, but they found a place for us, warning us that the table needed to be vacated by a certain time. We had more than enough time. The service is fast. The food is delicious!!! The staff is friendly. The restaurant itself is in a folk style, very cozy. View from the window to the lake. And we spent only 175 Belarusian rubles.

Definitely a must-visit! If you have come to see Brest, then you should have dinner only here (unless, of course, there is an empty table or you can book it the day before). The location is wonderful in a park on the shore of a pond, in warm weather I recommend a table outside, in hot weather - inside (where the air conditioner provides comfortable coolness). The waiters are real professionals, they will tell you in detail about each dish you are interested in. They cook all the dishes quickly enough, there was no tedious waiting. Draniki and derun are gorgeous, talerka with 3 types of lard and herring with potatoes are delicacies and my favorites for crambambula, the most tender chicken kebab, beef medallions and tongue. Dumplings with cherries, strawberries, potatoes and bacon are also great, but they may not be, because they are made by hand and they quickly run out. The portions are absolutely not small, I would say like at home. We also adopted a recipe for baked peppers stuffed with cottage cheese and sprats, which we will cook at home. Don't take kvass to children - it's alcoholic))

We visited the restaurant "Tavern by the Lake" during a walk through the Park of Culture in Brest. This is a restaurant of Belarusian cuisine, so mostly national Belarusian music was playing inside. Special thanks to the waitress — she was very pleasant, she carefully asked about our tastes, advised us on dishes and drinks, which made it easier to make a choice. Draniki, chicken kebab and potato slices were taken from the food. I liked the draniki the most — they were very crispy and delicious, which is exactly how I imagined them. Unfortunately, the chicken kebab was a little disappointing: the meat turned out to be a little dry. The potatoes were also good, but slightly bitter. We tried kvass, cola and tinctures from the drinks. Kvass turned out to be on the brew, with a degree — it's just not my taste. But I liked the tinctures, I would love to order them again. I'll put 3 out of 5⭐. I'll explain why. First of all, the entire menu is in the Belarusian language. I understand that this is part of the concept, but the restaurant is often recommended to tourists, and in some moments I had to use an interpreter. It would be great to add at least a Russian or English version of the menu. Secondly, for me personally, the interior turned out to be a bit overloaded - there were too many details and visual noise. It's a matter of taste, of course, but I didn't have enough sense of comfort. At the same time, the service really left a very pleasant impression, the draniki were excellent, and the tinctures were delicious. If you want to try the national cuisine, you can definitely look here.
