This temple is not just an architectural monument, but also a real place of power, where you want to return again and again. The cathedral itself impresses with its beauty and grandeur. The exterior, made in a traditional style, inspires respect, and when you get inside, the eye is immediately attracted by the rich decoration, murals and icons. Every detail here is done with love and skill, creating an atmosphere of awe and tranquility. There is a special, peaceful atmosphere inside. Here you can escape from the daily hustle and bustle, find peace and solace. It feels like a salted place where the soul really rests. The services are very solemn and bright, and even for an infrequent visitor to the temple it becomes a deep spiritual experience. Separately, I would like to note the well-groomed area around the cathedral and, of course, the friendliness of the clergy and parishioners. You can always ask a question, get advice, or just feel like you're part of a larger community. The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos is a real gem of Baranovichi. The artistic attraction of Baranovichi is the mosaic decorations in the interior of the Pokrovsky Cathedral, built in 1931 in the forms of neoclassicism. They are placed outside on the pediments and in the interior (seven compositions in total). The history of mosaic decorations is as follows. At the end of the 19th century, the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral was built in Warsaw according to the design of the famous Russian architect L. Benois. It was decorated with mosaic compositions made in 1901-11 according to sketches by V. Vasnetsov, N. Bruni, N. Koshelev and V. Dumitrashko. In the early 1920s, by order of the Polish authorities, the cathedral in Warsaw was demolished. A part of the finished polished mosaic was transported to Baranovichi. These mosaic canvases were used to decorate the Pokrovsky Cathedral.
