The place is cool and picturesque, and it's cool after Yerevan. But there is a very aggressive imposition of souvenirs on the way to the temple, candles are literally shoved into their hands.

Sevanavank Monastery and Lake Sevan. A harsh, cold place. Even in summer it's cool here, and the water temperature is +17 degrees. The place is purely touristic. If you want spiritual silence, it is better to drive on for 30 km and get to the Hayravank monastery.

A very beautiful place! Magical pleasure boats on the background of mountains. For fans of haikink, you can climb the steps to the temple. There are shops and restaurants.

Well, what can I say. Lake Sevan and this monastery are the program points of all tourist cooperatives in Yerevan. They bring everyone here. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the situation - dirty, not cleaned, everything was trampled by horses and, attention, polluted with horse manure. Why horses are allowed in this holy place is still not clear. Well, it would be fine, you know, there were horses, but three half-killed nags and the same horsemen on them do not decorate the place. Some shady people are selling church candles... In the evening, they even put their big guy in the doorway and wouldn't let him in without candles... Come on Armenians, come on businessmen!!! The shores of the lake have left an indelible impression - dirty, destroyed, everything is in decline, in a word - the heart of Armenia. Don't go to the lake, you'll be disappointed.

It's a stunningly beautiful place and the building of the monastery itself. If you arrive in the morning, you can get to the matins prayer service with beautiful singing and service. Climb high, but it's worth it, I recommend it.

It offers a magnificent view of Lake Sevan. We took a walk through the mountains, went down, and even swam in a high-altitude lake; it was cool, but unforgettable.

A place of power, a place for reflection, awareness of being, where every minute is like a reminder of history, an event that has happened over the centuries.

A beautiful 9th century temple on the peninsula. Lake Sevan is also called the Armenian Sea. It was from there that I wanted to bring a souvenir bell from Armenia.

It's an incredibly beautiful place! From the highest point (near the temple), crazy landscapes open up. The water is cold for me, in July it's about 20-23 degrees, but the locals swim all over! There are sun loungers, cafes and restaurants. We went to a woman in a coffee shop, treated her to cognac)

The monastery is part of the UNESCO heritage, so there are a lot of tourists from all over the world. It takes only an hour to get from Yerevan to Sevanavank. We were in the evening, at this time it is very quiet and cozy here, you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Sevan, take pictures quietly, without crowds. To climb to the monastery, you need to overcome a steep stone staircase of 230 steps. It is rumored that if a pilgrim ascends it three times, it is equated to a visit to Mecca. A place of peace, prayed for centuries!

Sevanavank is a place of power where history meets incredible nature. Climbing to the top of the cliff is fully justified: you can enjoy a panorama of turquoise Lake Sevan and the surrounding mountains. The ancient churches, built of black tuff, breathe history and tranquility. The sensations are indescribable: you feel both peace and delight. One of the most powerful and beautiful places I've ever been. The trip here will be remembered forever!

A very popular monastery with stunning views of Sevan. The cost of free parking is 200 AMD (I wonder who is protecting this "business" and whether the authorities are not ashamed to ignore this shame). There are a lot of goodies and souvenirs in the walking area. Climb up the steep steps to the monastery, calculate your strength.

The place is wonderful, beautiful views, a beautiful monastery. But the whole mood is spoiled by the "man" who extorts money for candles downstairs, brazenly says that they will not be allowed in without them, asks for a lot of money for these candles. On the way back, he laughs in response to the words that cheating is not good. The place is holy, some "people" are not.

It was December 27th. It was snowing. Fog. Unfortunately, nothing is visible. I'm lowering my rating because I was upset by the huge number of touts, it's just impossible to pass calmly. The feeling of calmness and enjoyment from walking is lost. Admission to the temple itself is free. Parking is paid. 1000 AMD in cash, 1200 AMD by card (payment at the cafe). It seems that we were deceived with the cost of parking.

A wonderful monastery! You should definitely go to the top of the hill and look in all directions at Lake Sevan and the surrounding mountains. After all, the monks knew how to choose the most wonderful places to build churches and monasteries. The surrounding beauty is simply breathtaking!

It's very beautiful at the top. You will have to climb the stairs. There is a very strong wind at the top, about 20 m/s, but the photos are very beautiful. It is better to use a camera if there is one. The phone may be blown away by the wind. Wear both a hat and gloves on top! The wind!

A beautiful monastery on the cape. It is worth getting up to take in the majestic panoramas of Sevan, with an old and elegant church against their background. The only thing is that sometimes too brisk trade is conducted on the steps, it tires.

We were taken on an excursion to Lake Sevan and we came to the monastery, words cannot describe the magical beauty that opens onto the lake and the peace next to the shrine, which preserves a thousand-year history. We were at a service on a day off, and we heard a church choir. And they saw the greatness in the temple.

This is one of the most unpleasant impressions, as the tourist site looks sad, spontaneous shops and beggars spitting after you, greatly discredit the oldest religious monument in Armenia.

You need to come here, take photos and leave. Next to the monastery, the most interesting thing is a dog with 10 puppies. The recreation center near the monastery looks abandoned, there are no people, a lot of garbage.

A picturesque place. Climbing up the many steps to Sevanovank, you can enjoy an incredible view of Sevan. The monasteries themselves are not very remarkable, let's just say there are many of them all over Armenia. You can put a candle in temples, but it is better to buy it near the monastery, and not at the foot of the stairs, it is much more expensive there. Souvenirs are located along the length of the stairs, and Mir cards are accepted in several places. The toilet near the temple is paid, the visit to the monastery is free.

Beautiful, picturesque, that's it. The temple itself was closed (January). On the way upstairs, some blackmailer handed candles in his hands, then demanded money. He refused to return what he had received, because of confusion they gave him 1,500 rubles, but he wanted even more. Ruined the impression for the whole day. It's unclear where the local police are looking, but apparently it's okay to shoe tourists here. G - hospitality.

We were with a guide on a Monday in December, there are only a few people besides us. The height is 1900m. I really liked it. The temple of the 9th century. The view of the lake and the mountains is simply amazing, no photos convey what you can see there live. The combination of mountain snow peaks with the coastline around the perimeter of the lake is amazing.
