In May 2026, we had a rest at the Royan Hotel Hagia Sophia Istanbul. The hotel is just great, we really liked it! It is located in the Sultanahmet district near the main attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc.), while on a quiet street, so there is no noise in the evenings. Upon arrival, we were given an upgrade of the room without additional charges: they gave us a triple instead of the usual standard, which was, of course, very pleasant. The rooms are beautiful and modern The only nuance that arose was that when the water was opened for the first time, water flowed a little from under the sink, but this did not happen again, so they did not contact the reception. The hotel has a cool courtyard with street art. There are also unusual passages between the building where you live, the dining room and the lobby – the first time you can get lost (one woman called it a maze), but the second time you remember what is where, and it's even more interesting. All the staff are professionals in their field, very polite and competent. Serveta at the reception was especially remembered, he was very pleasant, friendly, and even studied in Moscow, knows a little Russian. I would also like to mention the restaurant. The breakfasts are delicious, the view terrace is amazing! We also had lunch once in a restaurant on the ground floor – as far as we understood, this place used to be a cistern (like the Cistern of the Basilica or the Cistern of Theodosius), a beautiful place. We were late for our flight, so we had to eat quickly. Muammer's employee helped to organize everything in the best possible way, and he is also a very charismatic person. I liked his work not only in the restaurant, but also at breakfast – very involved, responsible! Many thanks to the hotel for the rest! We will be happy to come here again 🫶

The staff is responsive, very polite, will solve any problems and questions. The service is top-notch. The food is very tasty, we took breakfast, there is everything for this, lots of fruits and various egg dishes, dry mixes for children, cereals, etc. The location is simply excellent, near mosques, bazaars, cafes and restaurants, even a skytrain nearby. The room wasn't big, but it was very clean and comfortable, and we had a sea view. We are very satisfied with the hotel!

It's a very soulful place. All the staff are incredibly friendly and caring. It's very endearing. And Aleina speaks Russian well. The rooms are clean and cozy. We always came back with great pleasure. They clean perfectly, there are no complaints at all. The breakfasts are not very varied, but there is everything you need: eggs, yogurt, sausage slices (we even caught salmon once), pastries, vegetables, fruits, nuts, sweets. Everything is delicious and fresh. View from the restaurant on the Bosphorus. It is very pleasant to meet the dawn at breakfast. The location of the hotel is very convenient. On the one hand, right in the center (5 minutes to Hagia Sophia, 10 minutes to the Blue Mosque and the bus stop from the airport), on the other - silence and privacy. Just the most beautiful hotel! We arrived at the hotel at 06:30, check-in from 14:00, but we were immediately provided with a room. Very cozy, intimate and most importantly - in the very heart of Istanbul. The hotel itself is very stylish, the rooms were cleaned daily, everything is clean. The breakfasts are quite hearty and there is a large selection. I highly recommend ordering the glaze. You can ask for it from any employee in the restaurant area. I really liked the place. Clean, beautiful, new, with a soul and a Turkish flavor. Very friendly and smiling staff, Turkish coffee and tea, fruits in the room. The location of this hotel is optimal - it takes 5 to 20 minutes on foot to reach all the iconic attractions. The nearest metro station is 3 minutes away. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are 5 minutes away. Galata Tower - 20 minutes. Bosphorus Embankment - 5 minutes. Food: it doesn't differ in variety - there is a standard set of dishes + dessert variations every day, but everything is very tasty. Staff: 100% will speak your native language. Room: we had a standard, there were "standard" problems: a bad drain in the shower and a dirty air conditioner filter. Figured it out. Room service without complaints.

A very cozy little chamber hotel in the very historical center of Istanbul, a five-minute walk from Hagia Sophia. You need to take a room with a sea view! Otherwise, there will be a view of the courtyard or a gloomy wall. The breakfasts are decent enough for such a small hotel, besides they are on the 4th floor with an outdoor terrace allowing you to enjoy the beauties of the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea. Just do not leave your breakfast for a long time, otherwise it will quickly be picked up by local seagulls - they are there, like our sparrows. And it's very nice that they give us a small souvenir when we leave, like a coffee pair! It is better to catch a taxi by going down to the road near the embankment, because the entrance to the hotel is narrow.

Nice, stylish hotel. The location is good. Near the palace. Take a bigger room, otherwise the room will have a wall-to-wall bed with a narrow aisle. The rooms are stylish and clean. The breakfasts are quite generous and an omelet or any other type of egg dish is available for free. There is a convenience store nearby with essential items and alcohol. There is a very decent Italian restaurant on the ground floor. In front of the hotel there is a cafe, seemingly simple, but very tasty and pleasant atmosphere. And you can buy wine in the shops and drink in this cafe. The staff is very friendly everywhere. I definitely recommend it

There is a train station nearby, opposite and 100 meters away there are two excellent cafes that accept UnionPay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself does not accept visitors. Beautiful little hotel. Tricky staff, like everywhere else) but they were always ready to help, but they promised to move to another room, but they didn't.… The breakfasts are quite good, the buffet, but the wasps were very confused (!) there are honeycombs on the table in the distribution area, which attract wasps very much, and there are a lot of them there, I don't want to go for food or drinks once again.. but the view is gorgeous! Audibility: you can hear everything that happens in the hallway and in the neighboring rooms. Rooms: clean, but we don't go barefoot or in socks, we always wear slippers, I heard one of the guests swearing at dirty floors, but visually clean. Towels were changed, cleaned well. There were no foreign smells. The rooms are very cramped but cozy. They changed the pillow at my request. The location is great! The embankment and Sultanahmet Square are all within walking distance.
