I used to stop here a lot during my central Asia trips due to its location near the bus station, though never again. I booked and pre-paid for over a week this time enroute to China and it has changed completely for the worse. The reception staff are so lazy its unreal. They do nothing most of the tine whilst trash piles up on the floor. There was no soap in the mens toilet for days and the overall cleanliness is beyond disgusting. They turns all the lights out at 22:00, there are no mattress protectors, no locker keys as they lost all of them, nobody at reception 90% of the time, and the toilets and bathrooms are cleaned and remain clean for 10 minutes before being completely dirtied for the next 24 hours. It is 90% Chinese of which 50% are older non-tourist men with appalling bathroom standards. This place is now absolutely gross and I would never stay again or recommend to anyone, and the lazy day staff are largely responsible.

I stayed at this hostel in August 2026. The photo corresponds to both the common areas and the rooms themselves. The hostel itself is located in a fairly convenient location, close to the city center, not so far from the metro station and public transport goes to any part of the city. Polite and helpful staff, clean common areas and showers. The rooms and bedding are also clean. There are no complaints, except for the noisy Chinese, of whom there were very, very many.

Pros: the rooms are clean, the shower is excellent, the common room is very cozy. I really liked the receptionist Maria, a friendly, sweet girl Cons: our room was next to the staff room, so starting at 7 a.m. they woke us up with their loud conversations every day. The reason for this audibility is that the walls do not reach the ceiling, it feels like the person is in the same room with you. If someone is sitting in the kitchen, you can hear every rustle and conversation. Administrators need to strictly monitor the silence regime in the hostel.

Wonderful hostel! Cozy rooms and well-equipped space-living room, dining room, shower, toilet! Everything is cozy, clean and comfortable! The rooms are warm! Good WiFi! Near Lake Sairan and the recreation park of the same name! Convenient transportation-buses, metro line across the lake!

It was a great place, the staff was very pleasant, and they organized trips for the group to interesting places upon request. The rooms are very clean, as is the whole hostel. There is a restaurant around the corner with pleasant prices and delicious food, but they will tell you about the places and how to get to them where you can have a delicious meal!

I really liked the hostel. Very spacious. Kitchen, tables for meals, tables for work, comfortable armchairs and chairs. The TV has an area with soft ottomans. The rooms are large. The bunk beds are standard, double-decker, with curtains. The hostel is very clean, the furniture is fresh. The administrators are polite. It's a long way to the center. But the stops are nearby, you can go in any direction and also walk to the subway is not very far. There is a pharmacy, a cafe nearby and through the bus stop there is an exchange and a dining room. I highly recommend the hostel.

The hostel is normal if it weren't for one thing - audibility. The rooms open onto a common area. There are tiles and a large blind space. All night long, someone walks, rustles, eats, boils water, and so on. Doors and walls are like cardboard, it feels like the hustle and bustle is right next to you. This is a disaster. Well, the underwear is synthetic. It sparks and magnets.

Spacious, clean, well renovated. It is not very expensive. But when it was cold in Alma-Ata, it was very cold here too, the heaters couldn't cope, in summer, I think it will be super.

I have been to many Almaty hostels, but this hostel turned out to be the best. The whole argument is that it is very clean and cozy here. Even the toilets... In many hostels, they leave much to be desired, but not in this one. It is always clean and there is a toilet. Hot water, clean bed... I will come again!

The hostel's space could have been used better. There is always water and mold in the showers. The kitchen and work tables area is conditionally divided, which is why the work tables are used for meals and are always dirty.

I don't understand how a hostel can have a score of 5 points in which they take things for washing and wash them, but they don't iron them themselves and don't let them iron their things themselves. Well, that's kind of wild. I've never seen anything like it anywhere. Moreover, during your vacation, it does not matter at what time (in my case, it was in the second hour of the night and in the morning at 10 o'clock of the current day), the administrator can calmly look into your bed. And that's okay! The receptionist with glasses answered my question about the normality of such actions. Consider these nuances when choosing a place to spend the night.
