A truly beautiful and elegant place in the heart of Yerevan. The architecture, atmosphere, and cultural experience are wonderful, and watching a performance here makes the visit even more special. Definitely a must-visit place in Yerevan!

Even without attending a performance, this is one of Yerevan's most impressive landmarks. The building is beautiful both during the day and when illuminated at night, and the surrounding square is always lively. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to see a show inside, but the atmosphere outside was great, with events and gatherings often taking place around the theater. Definitely worth visiting while exploring the city.

Great place for those who enjoy classical music, operas and ballet. Seats require some renovation though. Highly recommended place. Enjoy!!!

Its ballet performances are impressive. Armenian ballet has hugely developed recently. For tourists from abroad I would recommend Antouni and Gayane ballets, they are very well staged and choreographed and are full of national flavor. Opera is also worth visiting, if you like it. I would specially mention Anoush.

One solid star for the orchestra of talented musicians and their conductors. Another for the hardworking performers. One more for the building, with excellent acoustics, solid Soviet architecture, and appropriate decoration (perhaps the finest chandelier in Armenia!). Minus one full star for the obnoxious audiences. I've been four times; without fail there are rude people having full conversations, insisting they be allowed to occupy the wrong seats, filming despite the announcement (in three languages!), checking their worthless social media, even ring tones going off at full volume. Imagine this happening in the country of the people who built this place...What's next, vaping and cigarettes inside? Subtract another whole star for the mostly worthless ushers I have never seen inside the actual theater. They are fiercely and solely focused on making sure you have paid and once that is assured, customers are abandoned to the interior where the stated common sense rules are not enforced by management nor staff nor polite society. If you can ignore self-centered cretins with no social awareness, much less a modicum of manners, this is a great place. As for me, I come to hear incredible music and see beautiful performances. These feasts for the senses deserve to be enjoyed with maximum appreciation, which requires full aural and visual sensitivity incompatible with retarded narcissists blathering and phone-derping without interruption from those who should be responsible for assuring enjoyable performances.

Very beautiful place,💚 Famous musicians from around the world went there, including Samvel Yervinyan, who worked with Yanni. In June, we visited the Opera and Ballet Theater and performed the opera Anoush. The tickets were bought two days before the event at the box office of the theater without any problems, just passing by. We were sitting in the stalls, the chairs were comfortable, the ticket prices were ridiculous. The libretto was in Armenian and English. There were subtitles, but only in English. The theater is a bit gloomy outside, of course, dark gray in color, but inside there is a spacious, bright foyer and a very decent hall with an orchestra pit and a large orchestra. The stage is big, the scenery is beautiful. In principle, I liked the opera, the acting, their voices, and the music.

My native place, since I spent my childhood in this territory in the very center of Yerevan. The city's cultural heritage center, where the most significant events of our city take place. Operas, ballets, concerts - all the best is here. I recently attended the Swan Lake Ballet, where there were many spectators of different nationalities-Russians, Chinese, our Armenians, English speakers, etc. - and I learned unforgettable impressions from the ballet troupe from St. Petersburg, from being in this beautiful place. I advise everyone. There are many cafes nearby, a square where you can walk and the Northern Avenue itself.

I watched the ballet Romeo and Juliet, I liked everything, the sound quality, the light, the scenery, the performance! The theater itself is very cozy and everything is convenient, there are probably better theaters, but accessibility attracts here, prices are adequate and there are almost always places, although the theater is popular, there is a large selection of productions, and for fans of Aram Khachaturian, this is the place! I recommend it one hundred percent!
