October 3
It's a rather strange impression of the candlelight concert organization. The seating arrangement of the hall is made up of chairs strictly one after the other. Nothing is visible starting from row 4-5. The audience gets up, even to take a photo. At the same time, the halls are full. I hear disappointed whispers all around. October, it's not warm. The air conditioners are quite powerful. I dressed normally. And those who came in dresses tried to get away from them. As I understood, there was no option to make it warmer, the man approached the administrators. The chairs are the cheapest, like in the school auditorium. And the architecture is amazing. Candles - about 30 pieces (I counted, yes) throughout the not small hall. On batteries. A concert with floor lamps that shine a cold light in the eyes. There are also special lamps-clothespins on the music stand. The background light illuminates so much that the faces of the musicians are no longer visible from the 6th row. And they all merge with the piano, but there are no silutes. Even viewers won't take down normal content like that. The sound is good, the musicians are good. The organizers... Well, if you had invested a little thought and 400 GEL, it would have been a different level. Really, well, There are no real pictures of the hall on the website. But without chairs and musicians. Afisha is an AI generation. 55 lari ticket to the C sector. I wouldn't go for 10, to be honest. And I wouldn't take such an organization for work either. I professionally film theaters and concerts in philharmonic halls. I've organized festivals in the past. And with orchestras too. And, to be honest, I'm shocked that this is the center of Tbilisi, the capital of Sakartvello. In peripheral cities, they sometimes know the halls much better and take care of the audience. A curtain. Sadly. 3 stars only for the library itself and its architecture and interior. In general, an amazing past. The present here leaves much to be desired It's good to take a walk through the halls and the library. The concert... well... only if the musicians are paid normally, I advise you to support them.

It's a wonderful, beautiful place where, if you don't take literature, you can just sit and work. I recommend taking a walk through the library itself, looking not only at the reading rooms, but also at the museum.

To get here, we issued free reader's tickets using a foreign passport. The administrators and staff were very pleasant and helpful, they told us everything and led us through the halls 🥰

During my last visit, I visited many places in Georgia outside of Tbilisi. This time we decided to devote all our free time to exploring this wonderful city, its unique architecture 🏢🏘️ And we started with the Ilya Chavchavadze National Parliamentary Library of Georgia🏣📚📚📚 Outwardly it is not particularly remarkable, but inside the interior is simply fabulous, made in the style of medieval Georgian architecture. In 1913-1916 there was a Bank of Nobility here. At the moment, in many places, the library is in a rather deplorable state. But restoration work is underway, which will surely recreate the former beauty 💫💫💫

I was at a concert in the Library's exhibition hall, great acoustics and the whole atmosphere around! The building itself is very interesting and worth visiting!

Unfortunately, we didn't get into the library. First, we went to the entrance from L. Gudiashvili St., they said that they were only issuing tickets for the reading rooms, but it was necessary to go to the museum. We went higher, to A.Purtseladze Street, where there is a sign "Museum of Books". We went in there and were told to pay GEL 10 per person to get to the museum, and the payment is only by card. We didn't have a card, just cash. They said there was no way to use cash. I went out in shock, came back after a while and asked the security that maybe they could pay with a card, and we would give them cash even with a surcharge, but they refused. They said no, they couldn't. And it seemed that one of their guards was even happy about it.… I was hurt to the point of tears! (( I really wanted to visit this museum! I've set aside a special day for visiting. Library administration, please make it possible to pay in cash! Imagine my annoyance: I can't get there and I'm at a loss from the stalemate. Even if the passage cost more, but it would be possible to pay! I've been dreaming of getting into this library for a very long time, and now my dream was not destined to come true because of a simple formality. It was very bitter, especially because Georgians usually come forward and help, but here there is complete detachment and coldness from the guards. It offends us because we love Sakartvelo, culture and literature, writers and poets, and we wanted to visit this library! This situation has really soured my mood.… Now I think I should have gone back to the women's registration office and explained the situation, maybe they gave us readers' tickets and we could use them to get to the museum, but now I won't know.
