A wonderful archaeology site and museum! This site had an enormous influence on the architecture of Armenian churches.

An ancient monastery built in the 7th century on the site of an even more ancient church that stood on the site of a pagan temple. Alas, the beautiful building was destroyed by an earthquake in the 10th century. And in the middle of the 20th century, something was restored, and it is this reconstruction that we see. But the columns, the stone carvings, the remains of the foundations are all authentic.

An incredible place steeped in history. The views are gorgeous. There is a museum, you can find out how the temple was built and how it collapsed. Entrance is paid 1,500 AMD for an adult, not expensive. We'll go back there again.

I really liked it, I recommend it. ready to visit.The entrance fee for 2025 is 1,500 drams, and it takes 30 minutes to get from Yerevan.

The temple was built in honor of Gregory the Illuminator. Unfortunately, he was injured during the earthquake. But even what's left makes a strong impression! Definitely, I recommend you to visit! And be sure to check out the museum! The entrance fee is 1500 AMD (April 2024). You do not need to pay for the entrance to the museum separately, you are allowed to use an entrance ticket. Please note that on Sunday it is open until 15 o'clock, on Monday it is closed.

The photos are very beautiful. Beautiful fortresses, destroyed of course, but beautiful. The museum didn't check the tickets, it's strange. But our history is very rich, we definitely need to go there. 💛

A very interesting place of power. The temple itself is badly destroyed, but there is a museum where you can see what it was like. If you want to shoot from a drone, you need to pay in advance for a ticket at the ticket office.

Since the temple itself has been destroyed, be sure to visit the museum. There is a lot of information, history, and even a model of the temple itself, which helps a lot to imagine what it was like on a real scale. The museum staff is very polite and friendly. The museum was already closing, but the staff reacted with understanding and allowed us to stay and watch the rest.

Interesting. Read about this place in advance on Google. It will be more informative this way. It's interesting with children too. There's a place to climb. Don't go to the souvenir hat. In general, I highly recommend it.
