Level 9 Local Expert

An interesting place. It was closed at the time of my visit. But even the territory and the objects on it are amazing. The bust of Lenin, which was shot during the Georgian-Abkhazian war, was preserved. There is also a bell tower of the IV-V centuries ... visit, you won't regret it

I liked the museum. The exhibits are presented from the "Stone Age". The history of the Gagra region for different periods is described. There is an audio guide (I would like the sound to be louder). There is no description of the place of finds, they usually indicate where they were found and in what year.I definitely recommend you to visit!

A good museum, which has both about the language, and about antiquities, and about the Battle for Gagra in 1992, but the theme of the Great Patriotic War in this territory is not disclosed at all. How is that? Interesting books, scientific and popular, are on sale, I bought a couple about the Abkhazian song culture and about the Abkhazian language.
