The temple of the VI century is located on the top of a mountain at the confluence of two rivers Kura and Aragvi, near Mtskheta. According to historical sources, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Nina erected a cross here. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside there is only a cross in the middle, and there are several icons on the walls. Despite the large tourist flow, there is a special energy.

An ascetic temple, with a wooden cross in the center of the temple. Beautiful view of Mtskheta and the confluence of the rivers. For the sake of photos and hot pomegranate wine.

It so happened that we went up on foot with friends, although minibuses go to the top. But we didn't know, and we walked 1,500 meters to the monastery of the Black Monks Place of Power🙏 Launch the drone in a safe place, two dogs live there that attack them. Mine was hit twice🤦 they are in the photo🐕

Definitely a place of power. Stay longer. Stunning view of Mtskheta. Take extra clothes with you, it's cold upstairs, the wind is blowing. You can take a taxi from Tbilisi. And to the other side as well.

The Place of Power is located at the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi "A few years ago, Where, merging, they make noise, Hugging like two sisters, Streams of Aragva and Chickens, There was a monastery." A place for weddings and weddings - as two rivers merge into one, so two destinies merge into one common family love story. Here Saint Nino erected a cross and forced Georgians to believe in one God, which was the beginning of Orthodoxy in Georgia. A magical place 💕

A beautiful place, an ancient architectural monument, shrouded in beautiful legends. Even for a non-religious person, it will be interesting to see this temple as an object of cultural heritage of ancient, Christian, original Georgia.

Javari is a Georgian monastery and temple of the first half of the 7th century. It is located on the top of the mountain at the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi near Mtskheta — where, according to historical sources, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Nina erected a cross. The first World Heritage Monument in Georgia (since 1994). A wonderful place. I recommend you to visit when traveling to Georgia!

A magnificent, historically significant place for Georgia. Which Lermontov wrote about. Geographical landmark: The famous lines from "Mtsyri" describe a place where "Streams of Aragva and Chickens merge and make noise / Embracing like two sisters /". Jvari and Mtskheta: The poet describes the monastery (Jvari) on the top of the mountain, which is seen by a "pedestrian", pointing to "the pillars of the collapsed gates, / And towers, and the church vault." Romantic mood: Lermontov celebrates the gorge, blue forests and Kazbek, creating an image of Georgia's heroic but sad past. History: The poem mentions an old monk guarding the ruins, which emphasizes the historical connection when "Such and such a king is dejected by his crown... He handed over his people to Russia."

A place that has been prayed for for 1,500 years, leading thoughts back to the roots of early Christianity... A real place of power... Guides tell us that in pre-Christian times it was a place of worship. Ancient walls, a reverent atmosphere.... spectacular view...

Saint Nino, on this mountain, installed the first cross made of a vine. The icon of St.You will see Nino in the temple. The view from the observation deck of the whole district and the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers will fit into your personal travel history on the first page! Lermontov wrote "Mtsyri" sitting at the temple and getting into the wonderful landscape. You should not climb on foot if you are unaccompanied. Serpentine road. If you eat like a savage, then take mats and sandwiches and you can enjoy the scenery until the evening. And even more so for artists, it's better to have a tent for a couple of days.

The views are beautiful, it's better to arrive early in the morning, while there are no buses. And keep in mind that it can take a board in the mountains. Also, if you go behind the toilets down the slope, you can take a photo from a good angle

A place with amazing energy and stunning views. Even the air is saturated with history. Of the minuses - there are always a lot of tourists. To citizens of Russia, if you come by taxi, I recommend not to let go of a taxi, it is better to overpay for a simple one than to have a problem with returning later. Russian cards do not work, and since the car will follow you from afar, Yandex can only make cashless payments. Thus, even with a pocket full of cash lari, you risk not leaving or you will have to overpay the local bombmiles.
