BMW is a special world that lives by its own rules. To touch its secrets and lift the veil of secrecy, we had to come to the factory in Munich (the headquarters of the famous automaker is located here). It is forbidden to take photos during the tour of the workshops and this is strictly monitored (the briefing takes 10 minutes before the start of the inspection). But I'll tell you what I remember most. The plant itself occupies an area of several hundred hectares and we were shown only a part of it. What caught my eye: 1. Robots are working on all parts of the assembly. There are almost two or three people in the workshop. 2. In the most important areas, for example, the assembly and adjustment of engines - on the contrary, people work very intensively (without downtime and respite). As the guide explained to us, there is a group of so-called "springlers" on this site, that is, craftsmen who are waiting to be picked up. When the main employee starts to mess up or slow down, they immediately replace him. 3. At the painting site, since the brand itself is expensive and looks after its image, there is such a function. A woman who was an admirer of cars of this brand turned to the factory with a request to make her a car in the color of her favorite lipstick. And such a car was made! There were other features, many figures and facts from the history of the plant were mentioned, but all this was lost in the impressions of visiting the BMW museum. What can I say? Now I understand how far the Chinese have come, if during a visit to the BMW factory it seemed like space to me. 😁
