I haven't been inside the town hall, but the square where it is located is a very beautiful atmospheric place! You can feel the rhythm of the Old Town there! Beautiful bronze monuments (to Voight, coin minters and a coachman with a carriage)- be sure to take a picture!!! The square smoothly turns into a pedestrian zone of the city with many cafes and clubs.

On April 24, 2026, at about 13:00, we visited the Minsk City Hall Museum and were left with two feelings. We really liked the exhibition itself, we learned the history of the "Town Hall", saw many interesting exhibits and plunged into the 80s, but when we left, we were accused of touching the exhibit (globe), the caretaker of the hall without looking at the camera, began to tell us off in a very aggressive tone. We began to prove to her with incomprehension that we had not touched anything and people had already passed through this room before us. Without trying to figure it out, she blamed the fictional barabashka for everything. We believe that this is neither competent nor beautiful on her part, as a representative of the historical site of the "Town Hall". We give 2 stars, as we liked the exposition itself and had positive emotions from it up to a certain point.

The Minsk City Hall on Freedom Square is an expressive monument of classicism, worthy of the attention of any connoisseur of architecture. The building is associated with the acquisition of Magdeburg rights by the city in 1499 and has served as a symbol of city self-government and independence for many centuries. The town hall was originally built of wood, then, after the fires, of stone. At the end of the 18th century, the building acquired strict and harmonious features of classicism designed by architect Kramer: a laconic facade, symmetry, porticos with Ionic columns, a tower with a dome and a clock. In the 19th century, after Minsk lost its city liberties, the town hall was demolished by decree of Nicholas I. It was only at the beginning of the 21st century that the building was recreated in its historical place according to preserved drawings. Today, this snow-white, neat building with a 32-meter tower, clock and the coat of arms of the city is organically integrated into the ensemble of the square and is adjacent to two cathedrals. Inside there are museum expositions and halls for receptions. Architectural restraint, thoughtful composition and historical saturation of the space make the Minsk City Hall one of the most elegant and expressive buildings in the city.
