Take a boat trip in canyon, so beautiful and amazing!!! Don't take jeep (Delica) trip tour. Absolutely nothing to watch. You can drive to Kaghu waterfall by you 4wd car on your own without any problems. 55 lari and 1 hour of your time spent for nothing.

A beautiful place, azure water, waterfalls reflecting a rainbow. Equipped playgrounds and a trail. There are few benches for recreation. The only thing was that the pier wasn't working. Well, the cost is not cheap in general. Take a walk for about an hour

Beautiful nature, pleasant place. But if there are a lot of people, then you will have to give up the stairs for ascent / descent and, of course, wait for the opportunity for a photo without a background of people. I love to see new places and nature, so I wasn't too upset about the price tag, as many people write in the reviews. Unfortunately, the impression about Georgia as a whole is that they make the most out of tourists (= they breed). The price is certainly decent for a family, my husband and I were with two children, the price is 40 GEL per person, and there is no graduation for a child/adult ticket. Prices August 2026. Children under 5 years old are free of charge. This should be taken into account if you take a combo ticket - Martville Canyon, Okatse Canyon and caves (this is probably convenient so that you don't have to queue at each location). Okatse Canyon is recommended, we did not reach the caves. As for the local bombs at the Martville Canyon: the man with the wand considers himself a security guard of a spontaneous parking lot.In fact, the free zone before entering the canyon suddenly became a paid patch, you can park on the road and walk if you really feel sorry to pay 3 GEL for parking. Local guys will start catching you in the parking lot, offering gin for your company for GEL 130-150, 3 hours of additional walking along minicannons and waterfalls, where you can swim))) if you leave the offer to think about it, the price may drop to GEL 90-100, depending on the car)) in fact, if you drive yourself, you can easily drive up to half of the places in an ordinary passenger car - these places were suggested to us by a local resident who rides Sasha on a donkey there - a waterfall is a 3-minute drive from the canyon, a mountain river (lake), there is a minute walk from the waterfall, but be prepared that There, a local resident put up an arch to enter, which you also need to pay 😂 3 GEL again to get to the bathing place. The water in the river is clean, but very cold- the children and my husband took a swim, I only got up to my knees)) I attached a photo of the nearest waterfall, but I didn't take a picture of the bathing place. PS. When traveling in Georgia, rent a car and you will see all the real beauty that you will not see on any tour (I recommend the guys for car rental in Batumi Easy Rent - 558 07 30 00 , super cool team - different cars, reasonable prices, customer-oriented, responsive, get in touch promptly, there are nice bonuses) Have a good rest and great experiences.

It's a MIRACLE of nature! The beauty is mesmerizing, feeling as if you have entered the fairyland From the Lord of the Rings Rivendell. We did not go boating because of the weather, I am sure that the emotions from such an rafting are incredible, but a walk along the paths and bridges immerses us in some kind of fantastic world of water splashes from waterfalls, various mosses and trees.

An interesting place - you can walk slowly through everything in 20-30 minutes ( from the photo). Beautiful turquoise water and impressive waterfalls. We were in June 2026 - the boats did not ride that day (they said that the rough water after the rain...) Entrance price : 40 lari per person (without boat) + boat 20 lari per person

The entrance fee is 50 GEL per person (without boat). It's too expensive. The nearby canyon cost 30 lari per person, and the views there were also decent. They're already taking money for everything. As a result, we wandered near the canyon and a local man took us around for 20 GEL. He's certainly very handsome, but it's not worth it. The entrance to the Prometheus cave cost 40 lari, but here it's just a canyon.

One of the most beautiful sights of Georgia, or rather the Samegrelo region. Beautiful waterfalls, an overgrown canyon in places so much that it's dark inside even during the day. Cold water that refreshes the entire canyon. The canyon is relatively small. Especially if you decide to look at it through the official reserve. You can get around in half an hour with a photo, in 15 minutes without.)

The place is naturally beautiful and wild, but the constant dialogue between the boat drivers makes it difficult to enjoy, 20 minutes for a ride is not enough, they cannot sell this place beautifully. If only Georgian music had been turned on, it would have created an atmospheric mood. The vests stink

It's very beautiful, but without boats, the price is unreasonably high, because the walking route is short, up to 700 meters. And there were no boats on the day of the visit due to the low water level. A couple of observation decks and endless staircases. There is a cafe with a terrace behind the boat station. The view is beautiful, even very much. There are quite a lot of people on Saturday. And it's unbearably hot in summer.

Martvili Canyon was a favorite bathing spot of the Dadiani princely family, who ruled this part of Georgia until 1867 from their palaces in Zugdidi. The canyon appeared under the pressure of the Abasha River. The cliffs here are 50-70 m high, and there are several cascading waterfalls. According to official sources, paleontologists have found traces of primitive people and even dinosaurs in the Martville Canyon. You can't swim in the canyon since 2016, they're monitoring it in the park. It took about an hour to get to the parking lot, a leisurely inspection with photos without boating. Entrance fee is 40 GEL. Boat trip + 20 GEL. Parking — 2 GEL. The canyon is beautiful, worth a look.

The nature is incredibly beautiful, but a maximum of 10 minutes on foot near the canyon For the rest, please check before purchasing a ticket for 40 lari for 1 adult whether there will be a boat trip, because we were not warned, we paid 80 lari, as a result, we walked for 7 minutes, took a couple of photos and that's it. For the place itself, 5 stars, for an expensive unjustified price, only 2

Do you want to add bright colors to your trip to Kutaisi? Then be sure to visit the Martville Canyon! It's only an hour away, and it's worth it! Imagine turquoise water, steep cliffs covered with vines, and the opportunity to take a boat ride along a picturesque river. Martville Canyon is a real paradise for nature lovers and beautiful photos. How to get from Kutaisi? Minibus: The most budget option. They depart from the Kutaisi bus station. Taxi: Fast and convenient, but more expensive. Car rental: Gives you freedom of movement and the opportunity to visit other interesting places along the way. What awaits you: Upper Canyon: A walk along the bridges over the bubbling river and spectacular views. Lower Canyon: Boating (required!) and the opportunity to swim in cool water (in summer). Waterfalls: Several small but very picturesque waterfalls. The Council: Take comfortable shoes with you, as you will have to walk a lot. Don't forget your swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim. Grab some water and a snack, although there are small cafes on site. Martville Canyon is a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the beauty of Georgian nature. I recommend it to everyone.

Perhaps this place left the strongest impression among all the excursions. It's a pity, we rode a boat through a very short span of the canyon, but we walked along the footpaths with great pleasure, the beauty around is simply incredible. If you are driving, parking near the canyon costs 2 GEL. There are shops, cafes and toilets. You can ride a zipline over the canyon.

We visited the Martville Canyon. I really liked the place, beautiful views of waterfalls and mountain reliefs, Emerald water, the color is impressive. We took a boat ride, 15-20 minutes in time, apparently as long as the landscape allows. But it's worth a ride, the view from the water is even better and the atmosphere feels stronger. But you can also just walk along the organized paths along the canyon. It's definitely worth visiting the place. You can definitely walk for 2-3 hours. Take coffee, tea or lunch food with you, the view is great to eat in the natural beauty. I was particularly impressed by the cafe near the pier with boats, the magnificent view from the balcony onto the water, delicious coffee and desserts. Moreover, this is not often found in tourist places. But this is a completely different matter, if you go there, the impression will only be better. But this is for those who can feel the atmosphere, because drinking coffee with a beautiful natural view is a separate thrill. In general, the cafe is a kind of gem of this place. The girl at the checkout was super friendly and sociable. I hope this cafe will prosper, otherwise it will be sad if the tenant or owner changes. The quality may also change. We visited in October 2025 If a girl from a cafe suddenly reads the review, you have a lot of respect for your friendliness and hospitality. This attitude has not been seen everywhere in Georgia. As you walk from the parking lot to the ticket office, you will be offered guided tours to other canyons or view it from higher mountains. Decide for yourself whether it's worth it or not.

One of the disappointments is the "divorce for money" when visiting the Martville Canyon: it is expensive (40 lari thousand rubles per person) and there is little to see (a walk for half an hour), it is not worth it. A separate boat trip is another 30 GEL, where everything is in a hurry and the scallop itself is for another 20 minutes and ... and two ordinary ice creams at a price of 900 rubles in a seedy outlet, the cost of which is 100-150 rubles in the store (from the review, if not a Georgian buys, then the price is immediately different). They also added negativity to the screaming, confusing parking attendants, who actually force cars to be parked in their paid parking lots. In general, the unpleasant impressions of the visit remained.

Beautiful canyon. It is better to go in the evening, it is very hot in the afternoon. But I don't know what kind of view it will be. The entrance fee is 20 lari. It's a little expensive for me. You can rent a boat for a fee, also 20 GEL. We didn't take it. And so we got a lot of impressions and beautiful photos. The queue was small. There is a toilet. A little further there is another river where you can swim and cool off, the entrance is 2 GEL. Overall, I liked everything. I recommend going to the canyon.

It's a very beautiful place. It is included in the sightseeing tour of the waterfalls. But it is very difficult to get to him. For people with diseases of the lower extremities, it is almost impossible to get closer. It is necessary to overcome a short ascent and descent along a fairly steep metal staircase with a step height of about 20 cm, then walk along the rocky bottom of the river. But it's worth it. Practically, the perfect romantic place for photography. The trunks of trees, standing close to each other with a slight slope, diverge to the sides against the background of the silvery streams of the waterfall falling on the emerald-blue water of the river.

Beautiful views, really impressive canyon. The infrastructure is disgusting. I couldn't go boating because the queues were huge, tour groups led by local guides got through without queuing, in general, there was no queuing - everyone climbed somehow. You have to stand on the boat for an hour. Fortunately, the boat tickets can be returned and the money returned without any problems. Of course, it's worth a look at the canyon. But for 20 GEL for an entrance ticket, of course, it is expensive. Considering that you can get around everything in less than an hour. Yes, it's beautiful, but in terms of price-time-beauty ratio, I'd go somewhere else. It's too crowded here.

Martvil Canyon is one of the most famous natural monuments in Svaneti. We stopped here on the way from Tbilisi to Batumi (with an overnight stay in Kutaisi). It will take no more than an hour to reach the canyon from the center of Kutaisi. Entrance to the canyon costs 15 lari per person (for foreigners). I would recommend taking an additional boat ride - it will cost another GEL 15 per person. You need to row the boat yourself (or assign it to the most physically strong members of your team). Rowing is interesting because they give you one oar, which you need to row like a canoe, constantly watching what the person is doing from the other side and adjusting to each other. From the point of view of team building, this is generally an ideal event -) A park employee sits at the stern, who controls the steering wheel. But even "skillful" driving, if it brings you to the edge of the canyon, it's okay, you'll steer out of there. The boat is made of rubber, it looks durable. The canyon looks very beautiful from the water, as everything always looks from the water. There are steep cliffs all around, greenery hanging from above and from the sides. The time spent paddling lasts a little longer (it feels like) than it actually does, but I think the walk takes no more than 20 minutes. Next, I would recommend following the hiking trail and going down to the waterfalls. Waterfalls are not very high, but they are beautiful and there are many of them. All the paths are made of high quality, the fences are reliable, and it is very convenient to go down and up. On the way from the car and to the car there are stalls where you can buy groceries. Will you be in or near Kutaisi - The Martville Canyon is a must-visit. The walk will take a couple of hours, and the impressions will remain for a lifetime.

The place is a must-visit. Especially at sunset, the light streams beautifully through the branches of the trees. Walk for an hour and it's magical. You can go boating, but alas, not just the two of you, but a group, but an interesting event. Everything is equipped at a high level, in general service. I recommend. Jeep tours are offered at the entrance, where it is not clear, the canyon does not apply. The entrance fee is 20 GEL+- at the time of writing.

A very picturesque place, surrounded by greenery, with turquoise water and waterfalls. A leisurely walking tour with bridges and observation decks awaits you here. They say that the main adventure here is a boat tour along the Abasha River, which allows you to see the canyon from the inside. Local businessmen offer a trip to several other waterfalls.  What happened here long before the canyon became a tourist attraction: This is the most famous historical purpose of the canyon. The local princes (Dadiani, who ruled the region until 1867) used natural turquoise water baths as their private bathing place. Dinosaur remains dating back about 75 million years (Late Cretaceous period) have been found here. Archaeological expeditions (for example, 2010-2011) found traces of mesosaurs (marine reptiles) and about 20 dinosaur footprints. Bones of prehistoric people and their tools were found in the caves, as well as bones of cave bears and bison that lived there. Before the advent of Christianity, there was a pagan center on this site, where the sacred oak was worshipped as a symbol of fertility. According to legend, sacrifices were even made there. With the adoption of Christianity, the oak was cut down, and the Martville Monastery (Chkondidi, VI-VII centuries) was built on its roots.

The canyon does not pull more than a solid three. 1,200 rubles for 150 meters of canyon is a mega inadequate price. For the same money, you will walk through 6 halls and one and a half kilometers of the Prometheus cave with a guide. Yes, it's beautiful, but not for 40 GEL per person.

Locals will attack you in the parking lot and offer you a jeep tour of "really beautiful places", you should not go with them. This is a divorce, they will show one small waterfall and a couple of canyons that are almost invisible. Martvilsky itself is beautiful, but GEL 40 for admission is a lot. The boat trip was not possible due to the weather.

The canyon is not bad, but the entrance is unreasonably expensive - 20 GEL per person. We were expecting some kind of beautiful walking trail to the place, in fact, there is no need to go anywhere, just behind the canyon visitor center. It can be viewed from different places, but it will take about 10 minutes. If you stop and stare, you can stretch out the time for 30 minutes, there's nothing else to do there. In the parking lot next to the visitor center, the locals also charge GEL 3 for parking (it is clear that there is no paid parking there, but if you do not pay, you do not know what else they will do with the car). The road to the landmark is bad, it passes through some village where you can say there is no road: either gravel, stones, or deep potholes. The canyon is highly appreciated, but for ripping money off tourists, it's a big minus.

Nature is impressive. Bridges and paths are organized. But the length of the pedestrian part is about 100 meters. By boat, you can sail in the other direction for another 150 meters. There are a lot of visitors, so for a selfie in a beautiful place, you may have to stand in line. It's all about the official, organized part of the canyon. There are also unofficial sites. An excursion there will be organized by touts at paid parking lots for a little more money. Both are, in general, quite expensive. Well, it's up to you to decide.

Well, the place is a bomb to be honest. It's very beautiful, and most importantly, it's not scary!! It's definitely a boat ride, of course it doesn't take as long as possible, but the visual experience is updated. I advise you not to take the zipline, it's definitely not worth it, you just won't see the beauty on a large scale. Just the boat. It is better to see the neighboring canyon from a height. By the way, the ticket costs about 600 rubles for admission only. The boat is paid separately.

A piece of the Martville canyon (Martvili Canyon, Gachedili Canyon). It is formed by the Abasha River, which has cut through limestone cliffs for millions of years. The total length is about 2.4 km, and the depth reaches 40 meters. Part of the canyon, about 700 meters long, is accessible to tourists. Throughout the canyon, the Abasha River forms several waterfalls from 2 to 7 meters high and small lakes with crystal clear turquoise water. The water temperature remains cool even in summer (about +16-18°C). The canyon rocks are covered with lush subtropical vegetation such as Colchian creepers, mosses and ferns, rare plant species endemic to the Caucasus. Various fish species live in the canyon waters. Many species of birds and small mammals can be found in the surrounding forests. The canyon can be explored on foot using a well-maintained trail with wooden bridges and observation decks that allows you to walk along the upper part of the canyon. It takes about 30-40 minutes to complete. With the help of a boat tour, it is possible to sail a small boat along the Abasha River through the lower part of the canyon. During the 15-20-minute walk, the guides will guide you between rocks, under waterfalls and through narrow passages. The canyon is under state protection, swimming in the canyon waters is prohibited.

The place is beautiful, but boating is pure entertainment for tourists, you pay 20 lari separately for admission, and 20 lari per person per boat. By boat, of course, you will see the most beautiful part of the canyon, but after 30 meters! You turn the corner, and there's the end in 20 meters. In total, it turns out 50 meters in one direction and 50 in the opposite direction. For a total of 10 minutes. A walk to the left side of the canyon along the catwalks of 200 meters, several beautiful waterfalls. In my understanding, a total of 40 GEL is expensive for such a place.
