Staff are excellent and very attentive, you may find this a treat considering some restaurants. Menu is Asian, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai to name a few. Quality is great and menu extensive. Sushi is good quality. Price is mid range for Yerevan these days.

The food is of average quality, mostly a disappointment considering they belong to the same chain as Asador and Thaiwine (which are both very good!). The service is quite bad, they didn’t even ask if we liked the food when most of it was left in the plates.

The food is great, the staff is absolutely lovely. The foreign workers do their best to speak Armenian to their costumers, it’s honestly very pleasant and endearing. Will be visiting soon again.

Delicious, fast, we were at the sat at 17.30, if you come with a company, it's better to book a place in advance. We ordered: Philadelphia roll, bao with duck, salmon xiomai with shrimp. The latter is for an amateur, but not bad, the roll is very good, 8 pieces, fat fresh fish in decent quantity. Bao is juicy, hot, rich in flavor, very satisfying. We were satisfied, we will come back again.

Today I visited this restaurant with my wife for the first time. I really liked the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful interior, the staff is very friendly, helpful and friendly. We ordered golden dragon rolls, fried rice with seafood, and teriyaki salmon steak. The rolls turned out to be very tasty, but the salmon turned out to be dry. The fried rice seemed extraordinary, as it tasted better. The seafood in the rice is chopped very finely, I didn't like it. In my opinion, there is room for growth. Thanks!

Interior 8/10 The interior is bright, eclectic and thoughtful in an Asian style. The warm light from the hanging lanterns is combined with dark wood, red upholstered furniture and an abundance of greenery. The main accents are decorative glass carp under the ceiling, oriental paintings and the figure of a terracotta warrior. The space looks expressive, but not overloaded and is well suited for an evening dinner. Kitchen 5/10 The rolls here are large, but not packed tightly enough: when you try to take them, they fall apart, so it's inconvenient to eat. The baos turned out to be good, although they were not particularly memorable. The broken cucumbers and kimchi cabbage were disappointing. You'd expect kimchi to have a characteristic fermentation, sharpness, and richness, but here both snacks looked more like regular pickles. The most successful position was the chocolate dessert - delicate, rich and really chocolate. Service 6/10 There was a hair in one of the rolls. The staff apologized, but after such an episode, the appetite was already gone. The polite reaction of the staff smoothed the situation a little, but did not correct the overall impression of the visit. Result Mao attracts with its bright interior, good bao and a successful chocolate dessert. However, loose rolls and unconvincing snacks noticeably reduce the rating of the cuisine, and the hair in the dish completely spoils the impression. Therefore, it is difficult to recommend a restaurant without serious reservations.

In June, I was on a trip to China, and I really wanted to find my favorite dishes in Yerevan. Fortunately, I found Mao, got acquainted with the menu, and was happy to see my favorite jiaoji, Jian bao buns, and dim sum! To the taste of dim sum and Jiaoji one-on-one, as in China! Complete delight. Jian bao pork buns, unfortunately not like in Shanghai, but quite close. In the original, there should be more broth inside.🙏 Nevertheless, I am incredibly happy to find an island of authentic Chinese cuisine in Yerevan, now it is my favorite place.️ Da hong pao tea is awesome here too. The service and the delivery are super. I recommend it to everyone!!!

Despite the long service, we were satisfied. The food is delicious, everything is served at the right temperatures, and good ingredients are clearly used. The prices are above average, but it seems that it is justified. The bao buns are not dry, the fillings are balanced, the gyoza are juicy and hot, and the broths are rich. The lemonade with yuzu is delicious, but there's too much ice. In any case, I'd like to come back and try other dishes.

We came with my husband without waiting in the kitchen. I really liked the tuna and salmon sashimi, the fish is very fresh. So are the rolls. Separately, I would like to mention the musical accompaniment in a modern lounge style. I liked alcoholic drinks too. Nothing to add . Come and enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food!

I liked the place. We took Philadelphia and open eel rolls. And bao with duck is very tasty. There's also a Peking duck in Mao, and we'll definitely come back for it. I was amazed that the food looks like in the photo on the menu - it's a rarity, bravo! By the way, there were a lot of Asian tourists in Mao when we were there. Excellent cuisine, but an absolute failure in service. The manager messed up everything. We are regular guests and have always returned here for the amazing cuisine — thanks a lot to the chefs. But after the last visit, there is no desire to come here again. The reason was the phenomenal tactlessness and incompetence of the manager. The person did not understand the situation at all: he caused a problem from scratch due to the fact that a small child was finishing food that was simply not on the menu of the institution. Any sensible employee of the hospitality industry will realize that guests with a full table of ordered dishes do not come "to the ball to sit with their own." The manager lacked intelligence, basic flexibility, and basic tact. He showed complete incompetence, ruined his mood and desire to return. The management should seriously consider who runs the gym.
