A nice fortress with a fantastic view. The interior was mostly empty, but the stairs were well-maintained and comfortable to climb. Overall, a pleasant place to visit, especially for the views.

I had some troubles to get there, since Yandex maps was showing a path that was either closed or inexistent. Some locals showed me how to get there, and from below the fortress appears very beautiful. Though, from the top there is not much to see, the city doesn't offer such great views. There were also two stray dogs barking, but asking them politely they let me through. You cannot reach the edges of the fortress, so you can see mainly some hills (great) and Georgia's flags.

Only the walls of the fortress remained. There's just a flat area at the top. But the views are beautiful, especially at sunset. It is convenient to climb, there is a well-maintained path. Admission is free.

Maybe we were unlucky. We were in Gori on January 3rd, everything was closed, noticed. The only thing that saved was the bright sun. We climbed the fortress and wandered around. There is a view of the city, there is a view of the mountains. If it wasn't for Uplistsikhe nearby, it would have been the emptiest trip of our trip to Georgia.
