The Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov, located on the territory of the St. Seraphim-Sarov Convent. The monastery is located in the Borjomi forest, on the top of a mountain, and is a recreated desert of St. Seraphim of Sarov. The church was consecrated in 2007. This is the first church in Georgia built in honor of the Russian Saint Seraphim of Sarov. The initiator of the creation of the monastery was the Georgian Metropolitan Seraphim (Jojua), who personally participated in the painting of the church. He asked the artist to depict himself as relaxed at the feet of the monk. On the territory of the monastery, elements related to the saint's life have been recreated: a wooden cell with an icon of the Mother of God "Tenderness"; a large stone resembling the one on which Seraphim of Sarov prayed.; a well; a hut, restored from photographs and paintings from 1903. There is an empty aviary next to the cell and the well — a bear used to live there, as in the story of St. Seraphim. Eventually, the beast was released. The place is called "New Sarov" because it recreates the atmosphere in which the saint lived and prayed. The church is active, but there are no daily services. Visitors can come to pray in silence, light candles and buy church souvenirs. To purchase icons or other items, you need to put money in a special box in the temple — there are no sellers there. Entrance to the monastery is free, and you can visit it at any time of the day.

We visited a local landmark on August 20, 2025. The place is beautiful, calm and soulful, surrounded by a pine forest, the paths are concreted. There is a restored wooden house where S. Sarovsky lived, a sacred stone, a small temple, a church shop, you can buy candles and put them in the temple, paths for walking through the forest.

The place is about nothing. we went up on the funicular thinking about what to do and take a walk, the locals strongly recommended that place and we decided to go It takes a long time to get to the PPC on foot, and we are very tired of getting back..
