Good afternoon, yesterday 07.01.2026 at 17:00 I visited this institution after a long tour in the Brest fortress. I am a guest of this city and country, coming from Russia from the Vladimir region. At the entrance, I saw a queue in front of me in a narrow space, although the place was half empty. It turned out that it was not a queue, but a girl (I'll call her the administrator) who sat down a company of 3 people for a long time, gave out a menu, no kidding - 5 minutes. I stood in my clothes, waiting. To my questions, "Will they put me in jail?" she replied, "Wait!" Finally, the time has come for me. The first question was from me, "how soon will the dishes be served?", the girl replied, "I don't know, salads take 20 minutes, grill 40 minutes." I was glad that I would eat in 20 minutes. I sat down at the table, immediately decided on the order, and waited for the waitress to come to me. I realized that a girl in a snow maiden costume was taking orders. I had no choice but to just watch the audience. I saw that the company had taken an order from the far table in the corner. I wonder how long they've been waiting for this, because I've been sitting at the table for 10 minutes already. After 15 minutes of waiting, a group of girls came to the next table, apparently by pre-order, and they were immediately served food. The waitress girl, 20 minutes later, running past me, clarified, "do you need to take an order?" and immediately ran away. I sat for another 5-7 minutes, in the end it was more than half an hour in total, I spent in this institution, decided to go somewhere else. Plus, seeing that the company that took the order about 20 minutes ago is sitting and looking around, waiting for the waiter and his order. Passing by the reception desk, I really wanted to express my emotions and at least say goodbye, but unfortunately, she wasn't there, and not surprisingly. The conclusion about this institution is that if you have not previously ordered an order by phone, you will not receive an order. (I don't know how you could have found out about this in advance if you're a tourist like me. I think the receptionist girl could have warned about this, and not promised food in 20 minutes). I would even say that you will stay hungry, because they won't even accept your order. The staff can't even handle incomplete boarding, it's scary to imagine what the situation is with a weekend evening.

The staff knows their business, the guys are young, friendly and responsive, even got into the situation and, with a full load, were able to book a table for our dinner with a child in 40 minutes. The prices are affordable, the main dishes from the menu are excellent (khinkali and lula are super) . The salad, as I understand it from the chef, is weak, the meat is not suitable, it is a little dry and greasy, there is not enough zest. We were in Brest, stayed at the Hermitage Hotel. We decided to ask the taxi driver where you can eat delicious food here. He immediately said: "Khinkalnaya, and not far from the hotel." Well, once said, it's done! Let's go there. The first impression is that the place is packed to capacity. Miraculously, they found a table for me. The poor waiters were running around like crazy, barely keeping up with everyone. It seemed that they rest only in their sleep. The menu is not huge, but everything you need to get acquainted with the cuisine is there. We ordered a bottle of Pirosmani wine, then another one – well, who will refuse? My companions wanted the first thing – one grub, the other a cooler. And then the real feast began: khachapuri in Ajarian, khachapuri in Megrelian, dolma, kurdabi with beef, salad with cheese, ojahuri with pork and, of course, khinkali. Bread and compote were not even counted. We finished everything with ice cream. I asked the waiter, it seems, Vladislav was his name, what else would he advise us at his discretion. He honestly said that we had already ordered a lot to explore the kitchen, but he would do something for us anyway (there was a barbecue). The only drawback is that they waited a long time for food, but we were immediately warned about it. You can understand, it's not an easy task to serve so many people. Bottom line: the place is worthwhile, you can go more than once. The food is delicious, moderately spicy, khachapuri with beef is normal, but with lamb I did not understand what it was. But something has to be done about the expectation. And a little comical: when he tipped the waiter, it seemed that only orders and dirty dishes flashed in his eyes, and not thanks from customers. But despite all this, a solid five is deserved!
