This museum has brought back my love for museums in general! A very large exhibition, many halls. We chose to explore without a guide. And for good reason! The guys took a 15-minute tour of one of the halls, and we were stuck on letters and reports for about an hour. Maybe it was also influenced by the fact that I was with a friend who was very immersed in the topic and could tell me a lot himself. But that's right, looking at the exhibits for a long time is now my new hobby!)

My impressions of the museum are extremely positive. The exhibition is huge, and it is located on a small territory of the museum itself. You can see everything: weapons, documents, equipment, and even a steam locomotive. The ticket is just at a "ridiculous price" for the cost of 1 coffee in Minsk, I definitely recommend you to visit. There is one caveat - I would like to organize all the storage of equipment under canopies at least to keep it as long as possible.

It was May 9th, 2025. We visited it together with the Museum of Criminology. Everything was free. The museum staff were dressed as expected on May 9 in a WWII uniform. The interior of the museum is impressive, especially pleased with the outdoor display of military equipment, the presence of a steam locomotive and the opportunity to get inside some of the exhibits. I recommend it to everyone when visiting Gomel. Thanks

A museum for lovers of military history. There are many interesting exhibits. The showcases are well decorated, the text is readable (explanations to the exhibits). There are themed souvenirs. My wish to the museum is that right now children and teenagers are not very interested in just watching, they need an interactive experience, some kind of immersion in the topic. Many museums are already doing this to attract a larger audience.

We recently visited the museum with my wife. We really liked it. There are many interesting expositions, historical facts and excerpts, locations, not only indoors, but also outdoors. Samples of weapons of the past and modern times. Military uniforms, equipment, historical finds. Guided tours are, of course, more interesting, but an independent visit also leaves a lot of impressions. In terms of time, it takes more than an hour to go through all the presented samples, this time flies by unnoticed, as it fascinates and fascinates. Definitely worth a visit to this museum.

I recommend you to visit! I liked the museum. Very rich in artifacts, exhibits and information support. There is a lot of military equipment in the backyard. Souvenirs can be purchased inside. The staff is very polite and friendly. As it turned out, after we left the museum, we entered it under closure, but the staff did not even say a word to us that they were closing soon, they sold tickets without any problems and after the end of working hours patiently waited for another 30 minutes until we finished the inspection. We are the grandchildren of the Winners of the Great Patriotic War. We are lucky to keep the memory of those events firsthand. This museum perfectly refreshes, complements this memory and plunges into history. Therefore, it is obligatory for the younger generation to visit! Parents, take your children, explain to them, tell them so that it is passed down from generation to generation! As long as we remember, the feat of our people and our Winners will live forever!

I really liked the content of the museum, even many of the exhibits stopped breathing. Really worth a visit. Everything is clean and tidy. The eye is happy. There was also a nice bonus - free admission for schoolchildren. And that's where the downside comes from. If you are calculating the attendance of children at the museum (I had a school group and another child with me), all the staff standing in the halls are talking to each other with mats. In front of the children. At one point, the employee went to warm herself borscht, by the way, we can hear the sound of the meal room, which smelled all over the second floor, and make herself tea, continuing to discuss the dirty news with a colleague.

Very cool exhibits, especially "Afghan", top-class weapons. There is a medical aid wagon in the green carriage. The staff is very polite!!! Yeah, you can get into one helicopter... Magnets are very cool!!! It's just a shame that there are no infantry fighting vehicles from the war in Afghanistan, so that's a minus star. Now to the cons: why this particular building??? It is impossible to find a better one??? I mean, it was possible to find a building, although it is wider and larger, but with two floors!!! I really liked the museum and this one and the neighboring and related to it - the Museum of criminology - the museums are small and cozy, there are many interesting exhibits - everything is described in detail in other reviews. But I have a big question - why is it so difficult to see with a guided tour? It's a day off, there were several people who wanted to go on an excursion with me (except me) - but they called somewhere and refused ... the museum doesn't need money? Everything is so good and excellent financing? It was possible to unite people and take 2 times the amount! When I tried to ask questions to the female girls in the hall, they could not answer 🤷♀️ I really hope that the management will add guides and competent staff to the military museum and the Museum of criminology!

In the absence of metropolitan splendor and scope, the regional Museum of Military Glory is at a very decent level, performs the necessary functions for its scale. The halls are small in size, of which there are 8, it is noted for its neat condition, emphasized by the careful storage of historical exhibits, most of which are under glass. And military equipment - tanks, self-propelled guns, cannons, helicopters, airplanes, a steam locomotive with an ambulance car - in the courtyard under the open sky. At the same time, as it is easy for visitors to notice, precipitation does not harm the main group of equipment, but a canopy would not hurt cars and a tractor from a small courtyard. The general's uniforms of P.I. Batov and A.V. Gorbatov were placed in one closet - it turned out, interestingly, in rhyme. Exhibits related to the Great Patriotic War occupy their rightful central place, therefore, great attention is paid to Marshals Kostantynych - Rokossovsky and Zhukov, who commanded the First Belarusian Front in different periods. In one of the photo frames inserted in my review, you can see a shirt from Rokossovsky's military uniform in a glass cube (it's easy to guess that the marshal had other shirts during the 4 years of the Second World War, which can be found in some museum). Halls 3 to 6 are dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War (Hall 4 - "Occupation regime in Gomel region (1941-1944)", Hall 5 - "Partisan and underground movement, liberation of Gomel region", Hall 6 - "Victory is one for all"), and the first two, as well, like the 7th and 8th, they talk about military affairs from other periods of history (Hall 1 - "The military history of the region from ancient times to the end of the nineteenth century", Hall 8 - "Internationalist warriors"). So, the museum man is NOT WEAK, rather, he is even strong!
