A Place of Memory. The surrender was signed here. The museum is located at a decent distance from the center of Berlin, but you should definitely visit it. Despite some changes in the information at the entrance, inspired by recent times, on the whole, the exposition, documents, and chronicle footage are very reliable and interesting. On the second floor there is a large exhibition dedicated to virtually the entire history of the Second World War (it feels like even more than the Great Patriotic War), and from the moment of the birth of ideas in Germany (publications, books..) until the surrender in 1945. Many facts and events are shown in parallel (a showcase with the equipment of a German soldier, next to the equipment of a Soviet soldier). Despite the fact that this is a kind of view from the other side, the photographs, footage of the chronicle, and documents are not biased. Russian Russian-speaking staff were few in number, and there are audio guides (including in Russian), as well as information in Russian.

A large-scale museum, a wonderful exposition, modern technologies. I was deeply impressed. But... There are flags of 4 countries in the hall: the USSR, England, France and the USA. There are 4 flagpoles at the entrance to the museum, but one flag weighs. What does he have to do with this museum?

One of the best museums that could be visited in Germany. The exposition is also presented in Russian. Everything is very well arranged inside, annotations and signatures are often very brief, but very accurate. A very interesting and seemingly small museum, which I planned to spend 2-3 hours on, but stayed all day.

The place is memorable. Thanks to those who have preserved this historic, iconic place. But why this yellow-blue cloth on the background of the Temple of Victory of the great people of the USSR?There should always be a flag of the victorious people here-a red, indestructible flag. And... period!!!

It was a long time ago... Then it was called the Museum of victory, or maybe of surrender-I don't remember exactly. I was on guard there once. I can't understand why the "German-Russian" is now. A healthy head won't come up with such nonsense.

It's been a long time! from 1978 to 1980, he served in the GSVG literally a dozen meters from the Museum! and he took the oath at the Museum...
