Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi made an indelible impression on me with its majestic appearance and rich history. It is truly a gem of Georgian architecture. The first thing that catches your eye is the magnificent architecture of the palace. The interior is no less luxurious. The museum, located in the palace, impresses with a variety of exhibitions. It has a unique collection of artifacts covering the period from the 1st century BC to the 19th century. Archaeological finds from the ancient city of Archeopolis, religious relics and the death mask of Napoleon are particularly interesting. This place is definitely worth a visit to anyone who is interested in the history of Georgia and wants to touch its rich cultural heritage.

Oh, this is definitely where you should visit! The beautifully preserved palace, furnishings and collections of the Dadiani princes were preserved by the man whose monument you will see in the park. You will learn about all this, as well as about what connected the Dadiani family with Napoleon, on the tour. One of Napoleon's three death masks is kept in the palace. Not a copy, but the original! You can go to the church, visit another building of the palace, and then stroll through the magnificent park, if you have time for that.

A favorite place for walking in the city. It's beautiful, clean, and there aren't many people. There are a large number of benches and a fountain on the territory of Dadiani, and the place is illuminated by lanterns at night. Before entering the park, you can buy popcorn and delicious ice cream. The palace itself is surrounded by an equally beautiful and huge botanical garden! There is also a church nearby, which can be accessed through a small alley. I recommend you to visit.

The palace is fabulous. A unique place of great historical and religious significance at the world level. The greatest shrine of the Christian world, the Robe of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is located here. Even walking on this earth is grace and joy.

Little. The personal belongings of the princely family have been lovingly preserved. I didn't like the guide, she led the tour too dryly, and you can read everything she said in public sources. I would like to hear facts from the guide that are little known.

It's a wonderful place! An ancient palace, there is something to see ! A collection of icons. A copy of the Robe of the Virgin! A huge collection of books in the old study of the prince. Beautiful porcelain on the tables, massive oak sideboards. The interior is gorgeous. Naturally, Napoleon's mask was also seen. When you are in Zugdidi, do not pass by this palace! It's also worth going to the church nearby to put candles on.

A huge territory, neatly trimmed gardens, fountains, a small church, I managed to visit one building, and this, of course, is the scope and luxury, everything is well preserved, it is allowed to take pictures! It's just worth coming and taking a walk in the park and taking an excursion to the palace.

It's a beautiful palace and park, and you should definitely stop by on your way to Mestia or Anaklia. In good weather, you can see the Caucasus from here.

The entrance costs 15 lari per person (if nothing has changed), the husbands are not bad, not as big as we would like, but quite interesting, I was in the museum for the first time with Sakartvelo and this one clearly holds the bar, but I think if you take it unaccompanied by a guide, you will not understand this museum at all

Very good guides and attentive, friendly staff. I liked the paintings, furniture, dishes, weapons... With great love, the museum is being collected bit by bit and restored to preserve the memory of its famous countrymen.

If you happen to be in Zugdidi, be sure to visit this museum. The collection is amazing, all the exhibits can be viewed perfectly! To be honest, I did not expect such a level. It is better to take a guide, for the price is not very expensive.

On January 12, the castle is closed for "holidays" and you will find out about it from the guard... seriously?! Are you closing in the summer too? It's logical to close when people are traveling! By the way, the castle looks shabby from the outside.

Beautiful historical building and surrounding area. The residence of the Megrelian princes Dadiani. Inside the museum there are paintings, dishes, weapons. There hasn't been a restoration for a long time - it's a bit neglected

The outside of the palace and the park around it are beautiful. But inside the exhibition there are no signatures, and the ticket price for foreigners is high and does not correspond to the size of the exposition.

Don't waste your time. The museum is closed due to an "emergency situation". No one can give a clear answer when they open it. Security recommends a museum nearby, but there may be a huge chaotic queue and there is not much to see.

We were passing through Zugdidi, we went to the palace. The palace is pretty, the interior and exhibits are good. Of course, it doesn't make much sense to go on purpose, but you can look in passing.

I recommend visiting the Dadiani Museum. In the museum you can see a large collection of weapons from different times. There are many Christian art facts, and of course the household utensils of this palace of that era. It's a pity that for tourists the cost is twice as expensive.

It's an amazing, amazing place. I've been there many times, and every time it's like the first time. In summer, after the sweltering heat, it is simply bliss to walk through such a beautiful place. It is a 30-minute drive from Zugdili to the sea. 😊

The palace itself is also beautiful, it has a museum. And the park around it, and the botanical garden is wonderful, albeit slightly neglected. And Zugdidi itself is a very cozy, pretty city.

In the Georgian city of Zugdidi there is a Georgian landmark that preserves its original history and has become the pride of the whole city. This is the Dadiani Palace, the residence of the Megrelian rulers of the Dadiani family. The palace is full of treasures, among which the most valuable is considered to be the death mask of Napoleon. But how was this French relic connected with the Georgian land? The fact is that the Dadiani princes were distantly related to Napoleon, it is for this reason that many relics associated with the great French commander passed here. Until 1918, the Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi served as the residence of the Dadiani rulers. The palace consisted of two buildings — the first was built in 1878 for Princess Catherine, and the second for her son, Nikolai Dadiani. As a result of the Russian-Turkish wars, the Megrelian Principality was abolished in 1866, and the residence remained at Dadiani's disposal. The Dadiani Palace today houses a museum founded back in 1849. Among the valuable exhibits are medieval weapons, an icon of the mother of Queen Tamara, a golden antique mask and some other items related to the life of the Dadiani family. And, of course, the culmination of the collection is one of the 3 death masks of Napoleon Bonaparte. If you have time, you should also visit the beautiful park area of the palace, the best European gardeners worked on its creation. Many rare plants collected from different parts of the world grow here — a botanical garden is organized on the territory of the park.

The staff is terrible. Just terrible. The caretakers demonstrate with their whole appearance that visitors are interfering with their lives and should feel guilty. The charming manner of shouting from hall to hall is especially memorable and makes the greatest impression when visiting.
