We were looking for a pleasant place to celebrate a birthday. We accidentally got into the cafe Chegem. Amazing location by the sea! The meat was delicious, and the mutton melted in my mouth. A set of several types of shish kebab with rice, lavash, vegetables on the grill is just a bomb! Special thanks to our waiter Nobara, a wonderful, knowledgeable, caring person. Magnificent views of the sea and the embankment, delicious dishes and attentive waiters are always ready to help with the selection of dishes! We ordered Bates kebab and Iskander kebab. Both dishes were beyond praise! Bates kebab - this is juicy minced meat wrapped in pita bread and fried until golden brown , cooked with aromatic spices. It is served with grilled vegetables and pilaf and sauces. Iskander kebab surprised with its serving and rich taste: tender beef with tomato sauce with yogurt and melted butter is just a gastronomic pleasure. The portions are generous, everything is very fresh and cooked with soul. Delicious food and a warm atmosphere!

I don't understand where the chef is looking, is it appropriate to serve a burnt dish? The loin also had veins, while the waiters assured that they were not visible when cutting meat. In a word, the Abkhaz service. I don't know where in the Caucasus to eat delicious shish kebab in restaurants and cafes, that's why there's a problem with this main dish. Ice cream, as stated, consists of three different balls, actually consists of two identical and one other. We waited for the bill almost until closing, although we ordered two glasses of wine, two shawarma and ice cream. At first glance, everything is civil, but not everything is so rosy. Not in Chegem itself, but on the side of this cafe, a lovely girl sells coffee. Coffee is brewed on sand and a nice bonus is baklava for coffee - for free. I took coffee with cinnamon, it was divine. My husband took the classic one. Objectively, the coffee tastes better than in the famous Brewhouse. But this is just for us). You can also try coffee with orange (tomorrow we will try a new taste) and a few more options to choose from. The cafe is inconspicuous, but it's worth paying attention to.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at your restaurant in Sukhum! We recently had a vacation in Turkey, and after eating with you, it was as if we had returned to Antalya. Pleasant impressions! Chegem restaurant (Sukhum) I visited this place with the hope of trying high-quality Turkish cuisine, but, unfortunately, the expectations were not fully fulfilled. The first and most glaring omission is the complete lack of a toilet for visitors. For an institution that positions itself as a restaurant, this is absolutely unacceptable and creates serious discomfort. Now let's go to the kitchen. I chose two lamb dishes — kebab and shish kebab. The meat turned out to be of extremely poor quality: the shish kebab was tough, with a rubbery structure, which indicates either the wrong choice of part of the carcass, or a violation of marinating technology. The kebab came out dry and overcooked, completely devoid of the juice that is characteristic of this dish. Ayran's submission caused some confusion. The request to bring a standard glass of this drink was categorically refused with the wording "jug only", which is a strange and inflexible service policy that forces the guest to overpay for unnecessary volume. To top it all off, the service process took an unacceptably long time: the food was waited for too long, and after being asked to bring the bill, there was another long pause. The overall impression is that the price does not match the quality, the disregard for the comfort of the guests and the lack of basic amenities. I do not recommend visiting.

This is the best place in Sukhum!!! We just stopped by for coffee, but couldn't resist and ordered just wings and fries to feed the baby! BUT....we certainly weren't ready for the Fantastic portions!!!pilaf, cabbage salad, grilled potatoes, tomatoes and peppers, and lavash were added to the wings!!! For me, PIDE WITH CHEESE is something beyond, I assumed they would take out a small boat with cheese, but they brought us a huge 40 cm with a large layer of cheese, the most delicate and just very very tasty!!! The evening, the sea view, the cozy atmosphere and the stylish serving of dishes created a truly inviting atmosphere. The ribs we ordered for dessert that evening raised serious questions. They seemed excessively salty, excessively spicy and excessively fried — there was a persistent feeling that in this way they were trying to disguise the shortcomings of the product. The consequences turned out to be even more unpleasant: the spouse who tasted the dish suffered from digestive disorders the next day — the condition returned to normal only in the evening.🤷♀️🤦♀️ I consider it important to draw the attention of the restaurant management to this situation. Attempts to save money on the quality of ingredients inevitably lead to a loss of reputation, and as a result, customers. Unfortunately, this experience has become an unambiguous signal for us: we do not plan to return to Chegem Port! ☝️

Of the advantages, I can mention the beautiful service, free toilet and sea view. The serving really looks impressive: a tray with a barbecue, a fire is burning next to it in some kind of bowl - everything is visually beautiful, suitable for a photo. But if we talk about food and service, the impression, unfortunately, is spoiled. The shish kebab itself turned out to be tasteless. The chicken wings are still more or less, the rest is very average. But the main point is not even in the taste, but in the attitude towards the guests and in the way the composition of the dishes is indicated here. I don't eat mutton, so I always check the ingredients in advance. The menu included chicken, pork and beef. There was no mutton. I start eating lula kebab and immediately feel the taste of mutton, which is unpleasant for me. At first, I didn't even understand how this was possible, because it wasn't included in the list. The receptionist was nearby, so I asked: "Is there mutton here?" She calmly replied that yes, there is. When I asked why the mutton was not listed on the menu, I was told: "You have to clarify." This is, of course, a separate level of service. That is, the restaurant writes one composition to the menu, in fact it brings a dish with other meat, but for some reason the guest is to blame because he did not conduct a separate investigation before ordering. The composition of the dish must be stated honestly and completely. Especially when it comes to meat. For some, these are personal preferences, for others religious restrictions, for others health or allergies. This is not a small thing or a "well, I should have asked" situation. To be fair, the waitress who served us admitted that it certainly shouldn't be that way and apologized. There are fewer questions about it, because the person at least reacted adequately. But the administrator's response in the style of "you have to clarify" is just strange. If the composition is indicated on the menu, but in fact there is another ingredient in the dish, this is not the guest's problem, but the restaurant's problem. The guest does not have to guess what else could be put in the dish besides what is written on the menu. After the mutton, I didn't really want to eat the rest. The impression of the whole pitch and the beautiful view immediately disappeared. So my advice is: if you order food here, especially meat, be sure to check the ingredients separately and several times. Because the menu, as it turned out, is not a guarantee here. And if there is something in the dish that was not in the composition, they will also explain to you that it is your own fault — you should have clarified.

We also took draft beer, which was very tasteless. We should have tried to find something like that, but we managed it in Chegem. There is also a "10% service" option in the menu. Well, this is such an ancient boorish relic of the past that words cannot convey. Maybe it's accepted here, of course, but it's time to get rid of this obscurantism unequivocally.
