The leading drama theater in Georgia with very beautiful architecture. It was built in 1898-1901 on the initiative and financial support of the famous Armenian philanthropist Isai Pitoev. Another contributor to the construction of the theater was another Armenian philanthropist, the famous oil industrialist and philanthropist Alexander Mantashev.
