A positive point. There is a museum. It just exists and you can go to it to pass the time. There's nothing else to do there. The negative point. The museum refused to give us a tour because there were only 2 of us. It was morning, 10 o'clock, we were walking and came to find out about Abkhazia. But no. They said wait, maybe some day a group will come by today, so that 10 people at least and then we are ready to work. Or were we just denied a tour? And of course, the finale of everything was that it turns out that Russia prevents Abkhazia from living. I was told at school that Russia saved Georgia and Abkhazia from extermination. And in the museum, the information on the stand shows that the opposite is true. I quote from the stand: "... Since the XVI century, the three-hundred-year period of the Ottoman Empire's rule over the countries of the Black Sea region has begun. Abkhazia, after several unsuccessful battles with superior Turkish troops, finds itself vassalage to the Ottoman Empire. At the same time, however, Abkhazia maintained its statehood and full internal independence, and power was in the hands of the Chachba dynasty. This political situation continued until the middle of the XIX century, before the establishment of the rule of the Russian Empire in the Caucasus and the liquidation of the Abkhazian statehood."

The military theme of 92-93 has been fully revealed. I really want to go back and review it. There are tear-chilling exposures. I really want to see a hall or a complex of halls with Sukhum or with the whole of Abkhazia before the war.

The museum is located in the former diocesan house. There are unique exhibits, there are departments dedicated to the nature of Abkhazia, a dolmen stands at the entrance of the museum and a public figure and historian Voronov is buried.

A beautiful fountain with greenery. In general, this part of Sukhum is beautiful, great for taking photos or just walking, as there aren't many people walking.

A logical and thoughtful exposition. There are several explanatory plaques. The exposition about the war with Georgia evokes genuine emotions. Many thanks to the involved staff.

The museum is interesting, but to go ONLY with an excursion, how can it be so bad to look at the exposition in the main museum of the country, there are no signatures on a third of the exhibits, I consider this unacceptable!!!

The exhibits are not signed, the guides are sitting around, they don't even want to take a tour for money, we came at 12, said that the tour would be at 16 o'clock, wait...

It is interesting and informative. It is a pity that the staff is not eager to conduct excursions. They said at the entrance that there was no tour. At the exit, they said that excursions from 10 people. At the same time, about 15 people bought tickets in 5 minutes. And there were even more in museums. The museum itself is cool

The museum is interesting. It's a pity, we were brought on a bus tour to the fullest. The guide ran with us through the halls, almost at a gallop. I was also surprised that people go to the museum in flip-flops and shorts. This is not a c0rtir! You should try to enter the Hermitage like that! So, everything is fine, but our tourist always manages to mess everything up.

The place is mandatory to visit. There is a lot of historical information about the country and the city. There are many artifacts, photos, stuffed birds and animals of the inhabitants of the local fauna. The exhibition about the 1941-1945 war and the conflict with Georgia made a great impression. The ticket price is 200 rubles.

Unfortunately, after the war he lost a significant part of the valuable exhibits. The rest is very poorly signed, exposed and illuminated. A huge hall dedicated to the last war.

During the day, the embankment is not bad, in the evening the yellow depressive light spoils the whole picture, plus after 22:00 you will not be able to eat properly somewhere.

The museum is open until 18.00, but at 16.30 we were politely refused entry because it turns out that the team has its own rules and its own schedule, the work is difficult, it's not like climbing into mines for coal. I found out after the fact that the portrait of the murderer of women and children Basayev hung there or continues to hang, if I had known earlier, I would not have gone. So thanks for leaving early, my money didn't go to fans of such characters....

A must-visit place on trips to Abkhazia. It is interesting to wander both "sitting down" to a group with a guide, and alone, slowly looking at the exhibits.

The museum is normal, neat, cool, the staff is friendly, the guide was not taken, they did not recruit him. Although the staff themselves grumble at the management and complain about their fate. To complete the exposition, I would like to add information about the genocide of Georgians in 92_93 by the Abkhazians in the hall of modern history. But they will prefer to keep silent about this. And so I recommend visiting and I would still come myself.

The only advantages are cleanliness and silence. The staff does not care that tourists who are ready to learn about their region are forced to simply inspect the exhibits. They flatly refused to take the tour even to a group, but they drank tea and gossiped
