Someone smoking starts shouting from the street and demanding that I take off my backpack and put it on the floor by the door. I was especially unhappy at the thought that some unknown person wanted me to leave my personal belongings just on the floor, not even in the storage room. I tell him that I come here almost every day with this backpack, and I've never had to leave it behind. It's worth noting that when you come to 88 at night, you usually get stuck by an employee who follows you around and makes sure you don't steal anything without offering help. But today's employee (as it turned out later) was too important to interrupt his smoke break, enter and control this moment. When I asked him what had changed and why such demands were being made, his only argument was: "And now this is how it should be." Now it's necessary - it's when you don't want to do your job, and for this you come up with some new rules that you can't even explain. In terms of service, I have no expectations from the grocery store. But any business has a minimum task - not to be cattle. Karen's manager couldn't handle her today. At least that's how this character introduced himself. He was not wearing any kind of clothing or badge that could visually identify him as an employee. It's funny that during our two-minute dialogue, he never bothered to go inside. I stood outside the door and continued to smoke.
