About game
"Latrunculi: Roman Checkers" is a classic tactical game inspired by ancient Roman board strategies. The pieces move in straight lines, like rooks in chess, and can move any number of squares vertically or horizontally as long as the path is clear.
The goal is to capture more of your opponent's pieces or deprive them of their ability to maneuver. The game is all about position, blocking, traps at the edge of the board, and precise planning a few moves ahead.
The game features a tutorial panel, sound settings, a leaderboard, and the ability to cancel moves by watching ads.
How to play
The goal is to capture your opponent's pieces.
Move: select your piece and move it vertically or horizontally by any number of squares, like a rook. You cannot jump over pieces.
Capture "in the clinch": a piece is removed if it is trapped between two opponent pieces after a move, either horizontally or vertically.
The edge of the board acts as a wall: if a piece is pressed against the edge with an opponent piece on the other side, it can also be captured. In a corner, it is sufficient to press it from both sides.
