Take a screenshot
A screenshot is an image of your computer's or mobile device's screen taken with a built-in tool or a special program. You can also take screenshots in Yandex Disk or Yandex Browser.

Using hotkeys

Take a screenshot:
DesktopLaptopPress the Print Screen key on your keyboard (sometimes it's called PrntScrn, PrtScn, PrtScr, or PrtSc) to copy the image of the whole screen to clipboard.
To take a screenshot of the active window only, hold Alt + PrtScn.
Press Fn + PrtScn. Select the desired area. The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard.
To take a screenshot of the active window only, hold Fn + Alt + PrtScn.
Tip
In Windows 8.1 or above, use Win + PrtScn to take a screenshot of the whole screen and auto-save it to Users(Name)\Pictures\Screenshots.

Save the screenshot using any graphic editor, such as Paint:

Open Paint: Start → Programs → Standard → Paint.

Press Ctrl + V or press Paste in the top menu (for Windows 7 and above).
Add text to the image or highlight objects on it if necessary.

Press File → Save as or .
Tip
Save graphic files in JPG or PNG format so they have the most appropriate size to be sent by email. In Paint, press File → Save as and choose the file format under File type.

With the Snipping Tool app
The Snipping Tool lets you take a screenshot of a part of your desktop or the whole screen.

Type

in the search bar and press the program name. -
Choose a mode (rectangular or free-form snip), then press New and take a screenshot of a particular window or the whole screen.

In the image editing window, you can write something with a pen or select text with a highlighter.
