The more information you provide, the easier it is for potential customers to find your company. If all the required sections in the profile are filled in, the special “Verified” icon appears.

While changes undergo moderation, you'll see this message: “Thank you for updating information about this organization. Your submission is currently visible to you and will be visible to other users after it passes moderation”.

The changes will take effect once they have been verified. Moderation in Yandex Business and in Yandex Maps takes three days, and moderation in the address snippet for Yandex search results takes up to a week.

In addition to the business owner, all Yandex Maps users can send a request to change information about a business using the Edit information button. If a user creates a change request, the business owner receives a message about it and can confirm or reject the edit on the Changes page.

Name and short name

To change the name:

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data.

  3. Go to the Basic information tab. Here you can enter the business's name and short name and select additional languages.

    For the new name to pass moderation, it must meet the following requirements.

  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

If your business has rebranded, then in addition to the name, you also need to change the logo and photos that display the old name.

Changing the name alone is not enough in the event of rebranding because the branch left the chain. You need to create a new company profile.

Address and location

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data.

  3. Go to the Address tab.

  4. Enter the new address or select the point on the map your customers can visit.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Note.

Yandex Business doesn't accept the following for publication in Yandex Maps:

  • Addresses of rental properties (apartments, private houses).
  • Online stores that have no street address or are registered at the owner's place of residence.

You can add online stores without a street address as online businesses.

To change the address, specify the location or add an entrance, and select the type of edit in the Address section:

Moving means changing the address within one locality.

Note. Moving is not allowed if:

In these cases, instead of moving, you need to create a new profile.

If your business is moving, select Moving. Change the address or move the placemark on the map to the new location and add an entrance. If you want to keep the photos and reviews at the old address, uncheck the appropriate checkboxes. Check the information and click Save. The company profile at the new address is created automatically.

The business at the old address will be shown with the “Moved” status in Yandex Maps. You can't change the information in the profile for the old address.

Note. It may take up to seven days to fully update the information in the company card for the new address.

Status

If you want to inform users that your business is temporarily closed, change its status:

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data → Business hours → Current status and select the appropriate status.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

The status of the business will change after the data is checked.

Business category

To add a business category:

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data → Basic information → Category → Secondary categories, and select a category.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

  4. On the Services and requisites tab, add parameters for the selected business categories. For example: parking, average bill, free Wi-Fi, or card payment.

Business hours and holidays

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data.

  3. You can set the business hours in the Schedule section. Adjust the intervals using the Weekdays, Weekends, 24/7, Every day, and Break buttons.

    You can set a holiday or day off without changing the general company schedule. Go to the Holidays and days off section and click Add business hours for, select a date, and set business hours or check the Day off option if the company won't be open on that day.

  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Contact details

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link in the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the business → Data.

  3. In the Contact info section, you can add:

    • Website address: A link to your website or your Yandex Business website.
      Note. Only one website URL will be displayed in your profile, so choose the website that can attract the most clients. Also, be sure to provide your pages on social media. All other website addresses should be removed.
    • Social media pages: A username or phone number linked to your social media profile.
    • YouTube channel: A link to your channel.
    • Email.
    • Phone numbers:
      • A phone number, extension, and description.
      • Phone numbers used in Viber and WhatsApp.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Services and requisites

In this section, you can provide additional information about your company. This information is shown on the Services and requisites tab and under About the place in the company profile, as well as in the photoPOI, and company text. The more information you provide on this tab, the more convenient it is for your customers.

To add information to this section, click Show all or the name of any subsection.

Basic

In this section, you can provide general information about your business, such as the following details:

  • Currency
  • Parking
  • Wi-Fi
  • Pet-friendly
  • Legal information

    Legal information (requisites) of your business isn't shown in Yandex Maps.

If your company's requisites or other basic details have changed, update them in this section and click Save changes.

Business category-specific details

In this section, you can provide information related to your company's business category. For example, if your business is a store or cafe, you can include the following information:

  • Delivery
  • Payment method
  • Coffee to go
  • Deals

Details for medical centers

If your business is a medical center or clinic, you can display details about doctors who work at your business under Doctors in the rich response. This can include information like their specialization, work experience, and patient reviews. A doctor's card has a button to schedule an appointment.

Restriction. This section displays only the data about medical centers that was sent to partner services: ProDoctorov, SberZdorovye, NaPopravku. To edit information about doctors, go to the service you work with.
Disable

This section is displayed by default. To disable it:

  1. Go to About the business → Data → Services and requisites → Medical center, clinic.

  2. In the Tab with a list of doctors in the company profile field, choose No.

To enable it again, choose Yes.

Accessibility

If your company has an accessible environment for people with disabilities, you can include the following information:

  • Accessible parking
  • Wheelchair access
  • Automatic door
  • Accessible toilet

"About the place" and display options in Yandex Maps

Note.

Yandex Business automatically determines whether to display the About the place section, photoPOI, and text in the company profile.

About the place

The neural network generates a series of stories about the company that help users make a choice. Information is collected from reviews, photos, and videos received from Yandex Maps users.

This section is generated using YaGPT. For more information, see Yandex GPT Terms of Use.

PhotoPOI

PhotoPOI is a placemark on the map with a photo of the object. The photo is selected automatically. PhotoPOI make companies more visible on the map and help Yandex Maps users figure out what the place looks like fast.

Text

A short explanation for the company's placemark in Yandex Maps created using YaGPT based on user reviews. For more information, see Yandex GPT Terms of Use.

You can manage visibility of About the place, photoPOI, and text if these features are available for your business:

  1. In your personal account, go to About the business → Data → Services and requisites.
  2. Scroll down to the control tools:
    • Show About the Place section
    • Show text for my organization
    • Show photoPOI for my organization
  3. Click No if you want to disable. The option will be disabled within 24 hours.
