User roles

The role determines which actions users can perform in the Yandex Business interface.

You can set up user roles to manage information about the company, chain, or branches.

Company profile management

Owner

Role Description Available actions
Business owner

The user who first confirmed rights to the company profile in Yandex Business.

Note. Companies can only have one user with the Business owner role.
  • Edit company information, add photos, make posts, and respond to reviews.
  • Add and remove Representatives.
  • Transfer their role to another user.
Chain owner

A user who first confirmed the rights to the entire chain or was assigned the Chain owner role.

There can be different levels of chain owners depending on the geofilter in the chain profile.

  • Edit information about the chain and all branches, add photos, make posts, respond to reviews, and add and remove branches.
  • Add and remove representatives and Branch owners.
  • Transfer the Chain owner role to another user.
Branch owner A user who manages one or more chain branches.
  • Edit branch information, add photos, make posts, and respond to reviews about the branch.
  • Add and remove Representatives.
  • Transfer the Branch owner role to another user.

Add an owner

  1. Open Businesses and select a company, chain, or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access and click Add.
  3. Enter the Yandex ID of the user you want to make the owner.
  4. Select the Owner access type and click Add.
  5. Confirm the action.

Change the owner

Owners can transfer their role to other users and manage the rights of other accounts.

  1. Open Businesses and select a company or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access.
  3. Click Edit below the photo of the user whose role you want to change.
  4. Select the Owner access type and click Edit.
  5. Confirm the action.

Remove the owner

Note. You can't remove the user with the Chain owner role because they confirmed their rights to the entire chain. Contact support. You also can't remove the user with the Chain owner role from individual branches.
  1. Open Businesses and select a company or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access.
  3. Click at the top right above the photo of the user whose access you want to revoke.
  4. Confirm the action.

Representative

A user who manages the company profile.

Chain representative

A user the Business owner has entrusted to manage data in Yandex Business.

Edit information about the chain, add photos, make posts, respond to all reviews about the chain, and add and remove branches.
Branch representative

A user the Branch owner has entrusted to manage data in Yandex Business.

Edit branch information, add photos, make posts, and respond to all branch reviews.

Add a representative

  1. Open Businesses and select a company, chain, or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access and click Add.

  3. Enter the Yandex ID of the user you want to appoint as a representative.

  4. Select the Representative access type and click Add.

Change a representative

  1. Open Businesses and select a company, chain, or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access.
  3. Click Edit below the photo of the user whose role you want to change.

  4. Select the Representative access type and click Edit.

Remove a representative

Note. Only the Owner can remove a user with the Chain representative role. You can't remove a chain representative from an individual branch.
  1. Open Businesses and select a company or branch.
  2. In the menu on the left, select Access.
  3. Click at the top right above the photo of the user whose access you want to revoke.

  4. Confirm the action.

Note. Agency accounts can only have the Representative role in Yandex Business.

FAQ

Why does the profile show former employees? How do I find out if someone else has hidden rights?

We now show all users who have verified access to your company profile. They may include former employees if they haven't been removed from the company profile. If someone else has profile management rights, you will definitely see them.

Why is a former employee listed as the chain owner?

They were the first to add the chain to Yandex Business and have chain owner rights. We show chain owners so you can see who can manage and change the chain. For more information, see Remove the owner.

How can I add or remove an employee who can manage the profile?

Only users with the Owner role can manage other users' rights. Go to the Access section of your Yandex Business account and assign the necessary rights. For more information, see Representative.

The email the company used to register on Yandex Business is unavailable. How can I get rights?

Have a confirmation code sent to the phone number in the company profile and confirm it. For more information, see Confirm your ownership rights to the company.

I didn't receive a code. What should I do?

Request the code again. If it doesn't arrive, contact support. For more information, see Confirm your ownership rights to the company.

This is our company, but we didn't create the company card. How can we manage it?

Make sure the card contains your current phone number and request a verification code. For more information, see Confirm your ownership rights to the company.
