The Technical University of Munich is one of the largest universities in Germany, founded by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. In addition to the faculties of technical and natural Sciences, the university has faculties of economics, sports and medicine, and has a wide range of study programs, such as engineering, medicine, agriculture, architecture, economics, computer science and information technology, etc. It teaches not only in German, but also in English for international students, and about 10 libraries are available here. The university conducts scientific research in such fields as engineering, bioinformatics, nanotechnology and others. Students also actively participate in sports activities. Dormitories for students are located in Munich, in the Olympic Village of Weichenstephan, in Garching and in Studentenstadt, but accommodation needs to be taken care of in advance.
