In the whole half—empty village, this is the most lively place. Due to the cold weather, visitors have taken tables indoors, but the terrace looks very attractive. Everyone in our family loves traveling! This time we decided to go to Turkey via Georgia by car. We stayed in Stepantsminda for 1 day, visited Kazbek. A fascinating sight!!! And, of course, our plans included tasting local cuisine. Georgian this time. We went around several restaurants, chose the Park Inn, the owner of which is the magnificent, sincere Niko. We chose several different dishes for lunch. Niko did us the honor: he served us himself, as dear guests. All the dishes were simply divine!!! It's beyond words. You need to taste it. Thanks to the chefs!!! And the owner Niko turned out to be an interesting conversationalist and an excellent guide to his region. The reception was so cordial that we will definitely come back to the Park Inn to visit Niko again on our way home. Definitely a recommendation! 🙂👍

It's good that there are stationary umbrellas - they protect from rain, but also block the view of the mountains, an unsuccessful option.

Yes, the courtyard offers a beautiful view of the mountains, but this can hardly be called a plus of the establishment, rather it is a feature of the region as a whole. In general, the appearance of the restaurant is not impressive, but let's not judge by the cover. service. The impression here is twofold. On the one hand, the waitress is very friendly, speaks passable Russian and tries to please the guests, but on the other hand, when asked to recommend a rich dish with an abundance of Georgian spices, she recommended the most expensive and completely inappropriate dish, which also turned out to be, to put it mildly, substandard. But let's put it down to language difficulties, and not to the desire to push an old dish to the client instead of writing it off. With this consideration, you can get a solid four for the service. kitchen. Well, here we come to the most important thing-food. I don't know about others, but personally I go to cafes and restaurants with the main goal-to have a delicious and satisfying meal. For me, this is the main criterion for evaluating the quality of an institution. Even if it has plastic tables and chairs, and the waiter rolls his eyes with a displeased look at the request to remove dirty dishes from the table, but the food will be delicious, I would prefer this establishment to a pretentious restaurant where the waiters with a fake smile will bring you worthless dishes. Because, as the classic said, "When it tastes good, then it tastes good." Now, as for Parkinson's specifically. The menu is not bloated, which can be considered a plus, as it facilitates the selection process. But even more, this process simplifies the absence of many dishes from the menu, which, unfortunately, no one warns about at the beginning. The portion size is not bad by Russian standards, but average or below average by Georgian standards, depending on the dish. The price tag, in my opinion, is very high. Main dishes are 5-7 lari more expensive than the average prices in Georgia. For example, khinkali was everywhere from GEL 1.7 to GEL 2.2 per piece, here they cost 2.4. But the main thing about food is not the price, but its quality, and everything is really bad here… I don't know what dishes other commentators who admire the cuisine of this place ordered, maybe we were just unlucky and, even with the help of the waitress, we ordered all the tasteless things ourselves. Khachapuri and imeruli were taken with them on the road and eaten after 10-12 hours, perhaps because of this there was a sour taste, so I can't say anything bad about this dish. Instead of khinkali with cheese, they brought dumplings with cottage cheese. Shish kebab of chicken and pork is just pieces of meat fried in a pan. There is no trace of smoke or spices there. And if the chicken is not tasty, but edible, then the pork "shish kebab" is simply disheartening. Have you ever eaten a shish kebab from a breastbone? This is a third of the rib, a third of the fat and a little bit of meat. At least the skin was removed before cooking. But Shkmeruli was even more disappointed. According to the traditional recipe, the chicken is first fried, and then filled with milk-garlic sauce. But in this establishment, apparently, all the dishes are prepared according to the author's recipes, and as a result, they brought us a three-day-old dried grilled chicken heated in sauce. I understand that few places cook with a knife and almost everywhere blanks are used, BUT!.. it was really a chicken that had been in the refrigerator for several days and not only dried out, but also absorbed foreign odors. I consider myself a rather unassuming person and am ready to put up with the low taste qualities of the dish, but serving spoiled products to guests cannot be forgiven, this is rudeness and disrespect for visitors. Bottom line: we visited this place last on this trip. Before him, we ate in different regions and establishments of different levels, so there is something to compare it with. We wanted to leave a pleasant aftertaste from Georgia, but we only got a taste of disappointment and heartburn. I regret that I fell for the 5-star rating and did not read the reviews before visiting this cafe. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn't have ordered a barbecue. In the same Stepantsminda there are places where you can eat cheaper and tastier. I definitely do not recommend visiting the ParkInn restaurant!

And where do such good reviews come from? I can assume that we were just unlucky with the change of employees of the establishment: cook/ waiter. We read the reviews, saw enough ratings, and came here. Music is playing on the way, decor is hanging on the facade, there is a campfire area, a wood-burning stove is burning inside, a carpet is splashing, everything is in wood, in general, the atmosphere is cool, like in a mountaineer's hut. We ordered khinkali, kharcho and champignons with cheese in keci. We waited a long time for the order to be accepted and already looked at the place where we would go to eat if we didn't wait. And there was only one table in the hall besides us, 5 people. They brought the collapsed khinkali. By the word "collapsed" I mean khinkali disassembled into fragments. The dough is in jelly-like pieces separately and the filling is separate. The kharcho was delicious, the mushrooms were not cooked, the khinkali was eaten with a spoon, and we must pay tribute, they were delicious, but they were not finished because of the unpresentable appearance. There was no firewood in the stove, we were cold and put on our outerwear. We waited for the waiter and asked for more firewood. It didn't save the situation. The toilet is outside. It is guarded by dogs, perhaps this is a local feature, but the dogs aggressively chased other dogs and cows around the territory. One at a time, it was scary to go wash your hands. By the way, there is no soap or hot water in the toilet. Two stars for the poor waiter and the decor of the establishment.
